Well, my solo trip changed and I am know taking my 26 year old son. I want to make sure he has a great time. I have been 4 times and he has yet to go. He's very excited about the trip and so am I. He likes to try different beers and drinks. I don't drink but want to make sure he gets to try a few.
So here are my questions.
Where is the best beer in Disney World?
Any places you would highly recommend?
Any Sampler type beers anywhere?
Any other drinks you would hiighly recommend?
Anything you can recommend that I make sure he does as an adult? We are two totally different kinds of adults. (I have never grown up and he is way to grown up or his own good.)
Any advice, comments, anything appriciated.
Thanks in advance
Lori
By the way our trip is Jan 22 thru 28 and we are staying at the poly on the deluxe dining plan.:cool1:

Well that sounds very exciting!!! I hope my son will still want to go with me when he is 26. ;)

I don't have an exact answer for all of your questions but as far as beer, he could try 1 new beer in each country along the way in Epcot. I'm not a big beer drinker but if I were, this would be interesting to do! The only other drink recommendations I have are 3 of my faves....the 3 layer Margarita in Mexico, The Grey Goose Lemon Martini Slush in France, and the Octopus Juice in the Coral Reef restaurant.

As for him being more grown up and you being more kid-like, it will be a give and take kind of vacation. Taking turns doing things that the other enjoys. You said he was excited, so that's already half of the battle! :thumbsup2 If he is excited to go, then I'm sure you two will have a wonderful time and make great memories!

They also have behind the scenes tours that may interest him. Or boat rentals, etc. PLENTY of things to do outisde of the parks, as well as inside the parks.

Beer recommendations:

Big River Brewing - Microbrewery that serves samplers of 5-6 of their beers. Good to very good.

Raglan Road - Good selection of UK beers and some local micros. Lively with Irish music and dancing.

Rose & Crown Pub - Standard UK beers, but always fresh and a fun atmosphere.

ESPN Club - Disappointing beer scene.

World Showcase - Mostly lagers. Carlsberg, Kirin, Labatts?, Becks, Dos Equis, .......

Bring $$$$ as they are $6-$8+ each.

Thank you both for your answers. I will try your advice. He is getting more excited each day so that helps. We have 25 days left.

Have a good trip, missing you by a week.

Actually, I disagree with ESPN having a disappointing beer scene, unless you go with what is on tap. They have a pretty good craft selection, which seems to change most times I am down.
