So, I have to tell you that my grown daughter and I did Disney together in Feb 2004. We had planned that trip for well over a year, going over every detail time and again. I was afraid the trip couldn't possibly live up to our expectations, which were thru the roof - but it did -- right up until the third of seven days when my daughter became so ill, she couldn't leave the room for the rest of the trip and was still sick for a week after we got home. We missed our tea, we missed wishes, we missed - well, you get the idea - we missed a lot.

Fate intervenes when I am given the go ahead to attend a conference in Orlando this October. When I told my daughter about the conference, I could see the wheels turning in her head (and could feel them turning in mine). We immediately looked at each other and just knew that fate was giving us another chance to take the trip of a lifetime. And so the planning began. That was in February. It was decided that I would attend the conference and then she would fly down to join me. We talked about it constantly, how would it work, where would we stay, what would we do, where would we eat!

I found a wonderful Dis'er and rented points for a 2 bedroom suite at the Boardwalk Vi8llas (after all, girls need their space :rotfl2: ); we found out we could add the dining plan and did so; we realized it was during the Food and Wine Festival - bonus; we poured over menus and made our ADRs including CRT breakfast on our first morning; we made our ressie for a Sweet Sunday; I have arranged to surprise her with a chocolate slipper at tea; we made arrangements with Sunray for our ground transportation.

Yes folks, every detail has been planned and replanned. All that's left to do is stay healthy and get on that plane!

Is our anticipation high - absolutely! We are literally bouncing off the walls :bounce: :bounce:

I'm no writer, so don't know how much, if any, I'll be able to report to you about our trip, but I felt compelled to share our jouney with you so far. I know that you understand the excitement we're feeling.

Please keep us in your thoughts and think healthy!

That's it for now - we're at 20 days and counting.

I've moved you over to the new Pre-Trip board. Give me or another moderator a PM when you return and you can change your title and we will move you to Trip Reports Board.
