Mom almost ran over Mickey!

This is embarrassing, but I will admit that my mom was in a scooter during the very crowded days after Thanksgiving and got a bit flustered by everything. We were going to cross the street to try to get her on Buzz Lightyear and the Marching Band was coming. She pulled to the curb, hit the gas and hopped off the curb, sped directly at Mickey and the band...luckily she missed him and he continued marching! I was horrified and we all got away as fast as we could once the band passed. After we got over the shock we thought we would try to see if anyone had a picture or even video of this never to be forgotten moment, so I will ask here....anyone happen to be in Disneyland on Friday and witness this?

We were there, but didn't see this incident. I'm sure Mickey is used to the crowds and half the people there don't really watch where they are going! Hope you all had fun, we sure did!

Man, those ECVs are dangerous. I've seen at WDW a lady try to take one up the ramp, careen off the side and continue into a pole where she knocked down a fire extinguisher. And my mom ran over some folks at Epcot after the fireworks when her purse somehow caught the reverse accelerator and she couldn't stop it. She was mortified. Those ECVs can be a big help, but there's so many folks who are on it for the first time, riding through Thanksgiving Day crowds. Just hope you never get clipped by one. They hurt!

This has me laughing too! So glad everyone is ok! We are regulars and my mom has her own ECV but every once it a while it gets away from her. Mostly she just runs me over! She bumps me and runs over my toes every so often. I think she's trying to tell me remind me who's boss!

She did once try to drive through the railing at Heimlich's though. She got stuck and had to be pried out which caused the line to back up. And one time at another place, she tried to zoom through a parking lot, took a turn to sharp and fell off her scooter! We cracked up after we determined she was ok! Gotta watch those moms!

Sounds like she was going faster then Heimlich!
