Howdy folks!

Just checking in to see what you are all up to. I survived this week and have hopes of surviving next week too. Should get some definitive news on my heart on Thursday. Considering what some of my friends and neighbors are going through I am a lucky lady but I sure would like to be able to do more than I am currently able. Especially as regards getting to go to DW.

My sister had her lap band procedure Friday morning. She called and told me that she stopped for a Whopper on her way to the surgery so I am not holding out great hopes for weight loss success. This is her second surgery. She is under the impression that the surgery is supposed to make her able to eat whatever she wants and still lose weight.

Sounds as if everyone is either resting up from a trip, planning a trip, or both. Good for ya!

Did you catch SNL last night? I like people who can laugh at themselves.

Here is my update.


I am having cataract surgery on the 5th and 12th and then have to schedule my heart ablation the beginning of December. My bil is insisting on taking me to the big city hospital instead of the local one that I was willing to go to. It has a very high infection rate but since this will not be an invasive surgery I thought it would be easier on him. He says he does not want anything to happen to me. He gets custody of Tom if and when I croak.

I am so looking forward to this as I am sick and tired of being sick and tired and it is especially hard when Disney is having such great bargains and at Xmas time, my favorite. I shall just look forward to the Flower & Garden show and spending Christmas at Disney next year when I will be able to enjoy it to its fullest.

My knee, that has been doing fine, caved in yesterday and I can barely walk. I think it was all the standing in line to vote. Anyway it sure is making it hard to get the chores done before the surgeries as I will not be able to bend over much. That is my excuse for not being here to bug you all so much.

Oh no your knee are you okay. sorry so short have to go had my uncle's viewing last night and family thing tonight and I have to leave for Pa next Sat. one of my friend's dad past away and they family and I were very very close.

Tylenol and a bit of rest yesterday has my leg managing better today so I have been able to clean out a few more gardens. I picked the last of the veggies and made a huge pot of chili. Tasted mighty good on this cold day. Not so cold that I had to put on shoes though. 50 degrees.

Nancy, trust me I know that things could always be worse. Been there before. This is all really good news for so many reasons. I am excited and looking forward to getting it done. Just imagine how much prettier you will all be when I can see you next time! I might even be able to drive after dark too! I am so sorry to hear of your losses. I am sure you will miss them very much but I hope you are able to take comfort in having had them in your life.
