Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

Diva K, if Missy has changed maybe there is something going on that no one knows about? Maybe you and she should have some lunches together and let her vent so you can understand where she is coming from?

I cannot hear so I get in trouble a lot for saying things or thinking I heard something I did not. :scared1:

A good heart counts for a lot. I am betting YOU are the one who can sort it all out before Missy loses the best friends she has. :lovestruc

hey gang,

just dropping a note so if I don't come back after today you all know that we are well :lmao: we are zip linning today :scared1: :scared1:

lets just say the Honeymoon started off ruff but now its back on track and great. (not any of our doing, the hotels so they upgraded us and gave us us of the spa for the entire week yeah).

Nancy, sounds as if things are going downhill (zip lining) :lmao: .

Better you than me although I do think I would make it down a lot faster than you skinny folk. Maybe not though since I would not do it for any amount of money. :scared1:

Enjoy the upgrades and have a lovely day!

I'm not a psychologist (and don't play one on TV :happytv: ) but w/o going into a lot detail, there have been some minor changes/adjustments that have taken place that we are aware of but she won't admit that they have effected her negatively...:scratchin

Nancy, you're on your honeymoon......stop dis-ing! :rotfl2:

Hope you're having a great time!

I'm playing hookey today, actually I had to go to the registry of motor vehicles today and renew my license.....it expired in July, I was never notified...so I've been driving around with an expired drivers license since July! :scared1:

I'm good to go now though, I'm home doing laundry and Shawn wants me to help him out in the garage later on.

Have a good day

Still are...just haven't set a date :thumbsup2
BTW she'd love for you to come for a visit! :goodvibes
Can you say, margarita!?!?! :drinking1

I know and I'd love to go see her too. I have another friend that lives in San Antonio that I've only seen 2-3 times over the last 5+ years.
My DD has a couple of extra days out of school in January. We considered a Disney trip since we have APs now. However, I'm a bit Disney'd out at the moment and any money spent on that trip subtracts from our April trip budget. I did consider coming to SAT over that weekend as well. I'll keep my eye on plane tickets.

I am not sure which scares me more, the fact that Nancy has enough time to be emailing us (stop that gal!!!! Go soak in the hot tub with your man and make some memories!) OR that Wic has been driving around without a license. I am grateful you did not have any accidents as your insurance might not have paid and it would have been a very, very bad thing! The gals from the license branch here would be knocking on my door if I were late. I was their 4-H leader and live right around the corner!

Diva K, we have much in common. I am the one who tries to fix things too. I hope all comes out alright and it is not too stressful on YOU.

The only reason I found out my license had expired, was because on my way home from work yesterday a truck in front of me sped off the road and rolled over about 5 times, I went to call 911 on my cell phone and quickly remembered I drove over my cellphone last week, and my replacement phone hasn't come in yet...so I drove to the police station to report the accident. As I was waiting to tell dispatcher, someone called in the accident. I told her that's why I was there too and left....never gave my name. There must have been a camera somewhere pointed towards my car, because when I got home from dance class with Kellie last night Shawn asked to see my license...which I couldn't find, turns out the cops from the town I was in when I saw the accident called and told him my license was expired. So instantly Shawn was accusing me of getting pulled over for speeding last night! If I didn't decide to do the right thing and report that accident, I wouldn't have renewed my license until next July..which is when I thought my license expired!!! :rolleyes1

Hello girls, I'm back. I had the best, best, best time this year even though I had to go without all you peeps. I am a serious podcast freak and I got to meet Deb Wills, Lou Mongello, John Corigliano, Adam Roth and Tom Corless! I am a huge fan of all these people, and we had several ride meets. I also met Linda Mac, a photographer for allears.net, she was so nice! We went to see Yehaw Bob at Port Orleans, if you haven't done this, you must go, he is a riot!! I went to Food & Wine, which was very hot. I got to walk around Pleasure Island on it's last day. I had fantastic food, got to try Yak & Yeti, the honey crispy chicken was sooo good! I got to ride the new Toy Story Mania a bunch of times, what fun it was! I actually went on Tower of Terror for the first time ever and rode Rock n Roller for only the second time in my life. I had a great room, in the eighties, right by the computer pool. I booked BB for French Quarter for Sept 20 to 29, same week as this year. I can't believe I forgot to go see Sheena Easton at Food and Wine!

Janjandis, do not forget that all those folks go to meet YOU too! :cool1: It sounds as if you crammed in as much fun as a body can stand in such a short time. Good for you!

Wic, I think your hubby should be proud of you for getting involved in reporting the accident AND be thrilled that you were not involved in the accident. It is so easy to forget to renew your license. If it were not for my computer calendar reminders I would forget it was my birthday even! As sick as you have been feeling that gives you a good excuse for forgetting and such also. When you are sick your brain does not work well and those around us should take care of us. ;)

Diva K, we have two tea rooms within a mere few yards of my house. Unfortunately tea rooms do not have anything I am allowed to eat except for the cucumber sandwiches sans bread.

Janjandis, your happiness is contageous! :) So glad you had such a great trip - sounds like you have the kind of attitude and energy that would make it a good trip no matter what. ::yes::

:thumbsup2

I forgot to say that we got dreams!! Last year we won the fastpasses and this year we got the ears! I saw someone win the castle suite too, they were a couple boats behind us on the Living with the Land ride.

Do you remember what the Dream Team looked like? The Divas are on a first name basis with much of the EPCOT Dream Team!

I was surprised to find three tea rooms within @5 mile radius of our home when I moved here (I have been to 2 out of 3...one has since closed...who knew Texas had so many tea rooms?!?!? :confused3 ) Was never impressed with their food but liked the atmosphere and of course, the tea! The River House Tea Room is @20 miles away but worth the drive...not only is the tea delicious but the chef/owner is one of the few women certified as an Executive Chef ( http://www.womenofnb.com/feb_story/restaurant.htm ) so the food is delicious as well :woohoo:
Also, The American Culinary Federation recently recognized The River House Tea Room as one of 16 restaurants nationwide to receive its annual Achievement of Excellence Awards:

Can you tell I am a fan?!?!? :cheer2:

Jan, I am delighted to hear your great report. I think that you and Minnie might like to get to know each other a bit better and possibly make a trip together.

Diva K, I remember River Walk very well and my memory is that it was almost Disney like. I loved all the small restaurants and shops. I imagine it is much improved after all this time. Our town is very small and I think the tea shops are because of the antique mall which attracts woman's groups. You have to make it to the third tea house so that you can compare them all. Have you considered signing up to be a Mystery Shopper? You would do well in an urban area. It takes awhile to build up a rep to get asked to do the great things though.

Minnie, what we lack in energy we make up for in enthusiasm, right?

Yardwork today and I am going to test my monitor out and see if I can beat my personal best. No sense in paying for this equipment if I do not use it. When the smoke starts coming out my ears I will stop though. :dance3:

Its is!!! If they could only get rid of the pigeons! Its particularly beautiful @Christmas because they cover all the trees along the river with twinkle lights! :cloud9:
They are actually planning two expansions to the of the river (one opens in 2009 and the other 2010!) The later will actually take you to the other four missions that are part of the NPS! These other missions are often overlooked because of The Alamo (and because they aren't in downtown SA.) Two of them are actually still active churches and one has a mariachi mass that I hope to go to some day!
