A dear friend's daughter just had one of these stones put in her engagement ring. The couple are very environmentally conscious and wanted an alternative to a diamond. They said they have issues with the diamond mining industry

Anyway, the ring is exquisite. The stone is a lovely, pale shade of white and although not diamondlike - is just a beautiful, Does anybody know anything more about this stone? I had never heard of it and would like more information.

It is very very pretty and a suitable substitute for a diamond--however, the larger the stone, the less diamond like it is.
