also this puts a major damper on my holidays.. and i bet it will on my Bithday as well.. when my account is unbanned now i am going to have to worry about getting banned for someone elses actions again. if im banned again its 10 years!!! also if i change the ip address will it clear all of my bands or no??

No changing your IP address will not clear your bans for your character. Changing the IP address will allow your sister to play her account though. I believe it would be possible for you to play any alternate accounts you have if the IP address is changed. However, using alternate characters to get around a VMK ban is frowned upon and could get you permanently banned.

Here's what I suggest you do. If you have your IP address changed, have your sister play her account and buy you any Christmas items you were planning to buy. You can also ask friends to do this for you. Don't play your alternate characters even though you can access them from someone else's computer. Accept the 30 day ban and chalk it up to experience unless VMK lifts the ban. Celebrate your birthday on VMK when your ban is lifted. It's not that bad to have your party late.

ok well my sister is going to get her friend t change the ip thingy and i will be coming back on vmk either as Pirate_Arfy or even sometimes on Raineforst. I can't wait to get on although i will be absolutley poor. But when i do return to Arfy im worried about getting banned for no reason again. if i do i lose all my rooms for sure like Animal Kingdom and explorer tent my two favorite rooms in vmk. i was thinking about switching accounts but then i loose my here from day one pin and all my rooms and my single use magics although they will be expired.. I lnoy have one charector with the here from Day 1 pin so i am not sure what i should do

Arfy I would not come on until your ban is gone. Now that you have told Dis who you will be you have also let any VMK hosts or staff who read this board who you will be. Also Yavn said in his newletter once if you know a player is on that should not be report them to staff. Not worth the risk of a permanent ban.

I know it is rough. But you should not risk a permanent ban. Next time try not to annouce it to everyone. VMK staff read this board.

Arfy, she's right. Please don't risk a permanent ban. It's much more important to follow the rules. I think it's fine to change your IP address to allow your sister to play on her account but it's wrong for you to play other accounts to get around your ban.

ugh nvm this thread i don't mind being banned because i'd rather not have a life ban which is not worth it. also Qruthie im a bit confused on what you are saying before to me because you said that i should go on to get the stuff that has come out during the holidays and now you say this? bit confused

She was trying to let you know what you could do. The problem lies in what you did with the information. She told you; you could use another character but said that would be a bad idea.

The problem lies in what you did with the info you were given. If you had stayed quiet no one would have known.

But since you told everyone what character you would be that was your mistake. By telling everyone you told either people that would tell on you because Yavn told them to tell. Or VMK staff would read it here and know what character you were going to be and ban you permanently.

I know it is hard to think before you write and that is what learning about life is all about. When we were younger we probably would have done the same thing so do not feel bad. That is what helps us to be better people to realize oops I should not have said that and next time you will know to be more cautious.

Sorry about your ban maybe they will lift it early

Hi Arfy, Belle is right, I listed the various options you have. What I suggested you do is have your sister play her account (not you play it) to get the items for you. I also suggested you ask some friends to get the items for you (with their characters). I'm sorry I wasn't clear about that.

You can do whatever you want to do, just understand that if you do try to play VMK with a different character, you do risk being banned for 10 years. Your sister will now have to be careful if she plays her character because somebody may report her because they think it is you playing.

Seriously, if you decide you absolutely have to play VMK with a different character (which I believe is the wrong thing to do), please don't post the name here and don't tell people in the game who you are. If you can't do that, then please please please don't play a different character! Yavn has asked us to tattle on people who do this.

Just to remind you, I'm hoping your ban is lifted soon if VMK has made a mistake!

i truly don't mind about the ban. it gets me un upsessed with the game which is better in my case. Also i don't only have one alternate player and pirate_Arfy is on sometimes and its not me so they can't ban my friends account if they just think it is me. Also the ban can go on as long as things get settled to vmk's expectations i will serve my time off. Although it may be difficult it has to be done and it is being done. Mods plz close this thread
