Hi,
I am making a RO reservation with a special rate..Need flexability pending airfares.. I know there are issues adding a night later ( availability and prices change).. Can one takes days off a special rate reservation without affecting the night you want to keep`? Can I simply go in and modify (change date by removing night 1)??

So I book Aug18-20 and later change to Aug19-20

Generally only if that same booking is available as a new separate booking. You can try to escalate the matter, but there's no guarantee.

It used to be easy to drop nights, but Disney changed the policy a few years ago. In order to modify your reservation, the shorter stay must now be available as if it was a new reservation.

So best situation is to make 2 reservations if I want to be guarenteed the RO offer that is out now.. correct...

That would probably be the best way to do it to be guaranteed the discount. If the time comes and you don't need the extra night, it's easy to cancel and get a refund. As long as you book the same resort/room type, you can have the 2 reservations linked with a request added to stay in the same room. When you check in for the first reservation, tell the CM you have a continuing reservation and would like to keep the same room, if possible. It's not guaranteed you won't have to move, but they will do everything they can to avoid you moving :).

Night 1 POP Ressie
Night 2 POP Ressie
Nights 3-7 POP Package Ressie

I can order magic bands for each reservations... LOL! which I will. I made a magic band wreath this year and noticed we mainly have red, pink and blue bands... this year, I need to choose other colors to mix up the wreath colors!!
