Modifying reservation question

I have an upcoming trip that needs to be modified. Will that balance be carried over to the new reservation?
It's a package with room,tickets,and dining. Thanks!

you generally don't get a new reservation with WDW they just modified your current one.

I've modified most of our reservations. I have never had to cancel and rebook with the exception of making a room only into a package.

With packages i modified where we are staying, the deal which we are booking under, amount of day/type of tickets, dining plan changes. All stayed under current reservation and all funds paid stayed.

I just recently modified my reservation. My payment transferred. the only issue I had was that I switched my reservation to a split stay, and they could only apply the amount I paid to one of the reservations. They couldn't apply it to both, so I'm getting a refund with the difference.
