Modifying a Disney Resort Reservation

I should know this by now but I just want someone to confirm.

Lets say I make a reservation now for Caribbean Beach. If at any time between now and 5 days before check in I see a lower price there, or at a different resort, I will simply be able to "modify" the reservation online and receive the lower price. Correct?

I think they let you change anything except the dates/guests online....at least with the packages I've modified.

Heck they even had a button to search for applicable discounts on existing reservations

Theoretically, you can modify everything online except guest names. That is if the website is working properly.

Some of it depends how your original reservation was made. If you called in you may not have the ability to modify it yourself online. If you used a TA, only the TA can modify your reservation, I believe.

E.g. I currently have 2 reservations. The one I booked online I have the option to 'Change' the reservation. The one I booked as a BounceBack by calling in, I can only modify by calling Disney.

Maybe, as others have indicated it does depend on how you make the reservation. It’s easy to know though, when you open your reservation if you can change it yourself they’ll be a button that says change, if you cannot change it yourself, there will be a message saying that you need to call.

This has been my experience. Any time I make a reservation online, I have the ability to cancel or modify online. If I call and make the reservation, there's never an option to modify online and always shows a message to call for any changes or to cancel.

And then sometimes it'll say call, but if you hit refresh it will magically allow you to make changes...Disney IT, if it's not glitchy are we really here?
