Hi all! First PTR. Also first time actually planning a Disney vacation :hyper:. Bear with me, I have a toddler and my brain is just mush right now. But! let me tell you, I am super sharp my with colors, numbers and animal sounds; so those details will be on point :coffee:

A little about us. DH is a vice principle at a high school and I am a sahm to our almost 2 y/o.
I grew up going to Disney and thought it was a normal, this is what everyone does for vacation (my aunt lived driving distance to Disney when I was little and then we made a few trips when I was in HS). My DH has a Disney obsessed aunt and went on a few trips when he was younger, but doesn't really remember them, because, you know, teenage angst...:rotfl2: We went on our first trip together in 2010 stayed in the AKL and he planned dinning and we worked our days out around that. We got married at Disney in Dec 2011 and this will be our second real trip back (we made a day trip on our way down to our delayed honeymoon cruise).

We are very laid back and pretty much go with the flow and always get done what we want. But I decided it is time to actually get a skeleton plan together so we can move through the parks with more purpose since our little guy can't sleep in his Baby Bjorn while we wait in line this time,

I actually subscribed to touring plans and am loving it because everything is in one place and I don't have to create spreadsheets myself AND it goes directly to my phone via the app. All wins. I am hoping by laying out our plans here I will feel like I have actually accomplished something, rather than feeling like a lemming walking into a brick wall over and over again trying to get to point b.

On to our trip: We are staying at CBR, April 6-12. I am so excited! I bounced back and forth between POR, CBR, and CSR for WEEKS, as in was getting close to missing the discounts. Ended up with CBR because of the island in the middle with the play ground and the kiddie pool. My parents are also joining us on this trip and they will be staying at POR.

As of this moment our set plans are:

Monday
arrive around 630am, drop bags off at CBR (we can do that right?) and head to WL for 730am breakfast ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Depending on the temperature, we will head back to CBR to explore and play (more coffee?)(definitely more coffee). We will head to DTD and walk around and head to Disney Quest, a first for us and we are super excited! No set lunch yet, we may try the Dinosaur restaurant. Hopefully we can check in to our room early, not counting on this, so we can get mister down for a nap (:lmao: like naps are going to happen). We may head back to DQ or just hang out by the pool, depends on what little man seems most excited about. Definitely an early bedtime.

Tuesday
Up early, grab coffee and something easy to eat and get to HS around 45 minutes prior to RD. We typically drive ourselves, which may kind of defeat the purpose of staying on property but it works for us. We also had a CB meal at H&V but I canceled it since LO doesn't know the characters there and I don't think having a early ADR will actually help us out in the morning, especially if they alter the time the park opens.
We will (ideally) get FP+ for TSMM, the frozen sing a long , and Lights Motor Action. I am thinking we will go straight to TSMM then over to RR and do child swap. Then the rest of the day will be shows and characters. Lo LOVES beauty and the beast, Cars, and Elsa. I am SO excited for him to see Mater and Lightning McQueen. SO exited. He flipped out at Christmas when he got the Mater Car pack where the cars are all dressed up like pro wrestlers and the dvd. Also as a side note, I would like to make it clear that it is my DH fault that Lo loves Elsa. He got Lo hooked on the "Let it Go" youtube video.:badpc: I naively thought, oh I am going to miss this Frozen craze! I have a boy and he isn't even 2 (read: very little tv). But nooo, I have frozen stuck in my head like everyone else. (team tangled here haha:rotfl:)

We should be done with our first day of HS wants by 3 (will be going back with my parents for Fantastmic! later in the week) from this point I can't decided if we will go to DAK and do dinner at RFC, close the park and enjoy another early night or if we will take a break at the hotel and then head to MK for MSEP and Wishes.

ThursdayLo Birthday!!
Start at DAK. Ride Safari. Ride the Train to Rafiki's planet watch. Stay on train for rest of the day because TRAIN! Hopefully make it off train for the adults to ride EE and Dinosaur and also to eat and have some drinks. I have lunch ADR for Yak and Yeti but may change it. More than likely we will end up in the RFC because we do love it. Cant decide from here if we will go to epcot for Illuminations or HS for Fantasmic!.

The rest of the week is up in the air. The current possible line up is:
Wednesday:EMH @ MK for a train ride and maybe Jungle Cruise or Pirates and HM. and then hop over to epcot for the remainder of the day and to meet my parents.
FridayMK? Ak? HS for fantasmic?
SaturdayAK? nighttime emh @MK?

Well this is as far as it goes for me at the moment!

Got the pictures figured out! This is my sweet family on J's first trip last december! We had just arrived at the TTC, it was probably around 630/7am. Sweet baby J has no idea what is going on haha

The goal today is to finalize our dining plans. I can't believe it is almost time to sign up for our FP+s

Hello :wave2:

Looks like you have a nice plan so far. Cant put to much on paper cause then you'll try to do it all right?!

I aslo had the same idea going before our 2 year old turns three in July.

We kinda have a tripped planned for the spring too, I have all our ADR booked for April but we just let our pin codes expire so I'm hoping we will follow through and make it official. My DH prefers a Disney Christmas trip and I just cant wait that long so I'm really pushing for a April trip:banana:

spring break is just around the corner :yay:

Thanks! Im trying not to over plan but with all of the changes disney has made it's so easy! Haha

I'm am glad I'm not the only one squeezing in the last "free" trip! Haha the lady I nanny for is laughing at us (in a friendly way! haha) but they aren't disney people  haha

My dh was trying to plan an alternate trip at xmas as well! Must be something in the water haha.

I am hopefully going to finish up our adrs today and get our tentative fp line up set today seeing as our 60 day mark is on Thursday:eek:

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your April trip to happen!

You know, I remember thinking the same thing about little miss! Now 3 Frozen Dolls, 2 Frozen Dresses, a movie and a soundtrack later..... :rotfl:

Also we are doing the same thing with Little Miss. We got as close to her 3rd birthday as possible without reaching into summer crowds.

Haha oh man! Sounds like y'all are fully emersed in frozen! not going to lie, I am pretty excited for the sing a long at HS, J just gets so pumped when "Let it go" comes and I can't wait to see his reaction to seeing it live!

I am comtemplating an AP for me so I can take trips with my parents. My dad is a pilot and has flight safety down there twice a year, plus they love to travel and are totally game for extra visits:rolleyes1:hyper:

We have had a crazy past couple of weeks! Dh's schedule has been insane, a couple of days he didn't get home until well after 8 (he arrives at work at 5am). I've essentially been a single mom all year, not fun.

So last Thursday, our 60 day mark, I woke up at 5am and set up our FP+ without a single issue, outside of the fact that I woke up at 5am WITHOUT an alarm . I was able to set up my parent's FP+ as well. This caught me off guard since they aren't checking into POR until 4/8, two days after us. So that was a very happy surprise since I was stressing a hair about lining up our FP+s. I am pretty happy with the way I got our days set up! For the big rides we will get child swap so I can ride with my dad and DH. I'm pretty excited about being able to use that Disney perk. I didn't know how it worked last time, I thought the odd man out (so to speak) would have to ride by themselves.

Now I need to figure out when DH and I are going to have my parents babysit little man so we can have our date afternoon. I am getting more antsy for sure! I'm kind of in a planning stand still, the frame of the vacation is done, now its just filling in the minute details, and making sure we don't forget anything. No pressure.

Thanks! I think so too! My mom usually gets left out of the rides because she likes to make sure we all get to ride the ones we want. So I tried to make sure she gets all the rides she likes (namely pooh and Peter Pan) and either dad or I will join so she doesn't ride alone :)

11 days out! I have my spreadsheets with our FP+s and ADRs almost finalized and am tweaking a few last minute plans but overall, I am super happy with our itinerary. I am debating now on whether to do BOG guest lunch or breakfast. I think we will probably stick with our early lunch, i don't think we are big enough eaters to spend $20 a piece on breakfast, though that poached egg sandwich looks amazing. I am organizing a couple of grab bags to make getting out of our room quick and easy. One will be a baby bag: sunscreens and mostly pre-portioned snacks in ziplock baggies (fruit, pretzels, goldfish), and for the second bagI think I am going to make a few "surprise" bags by grabbing some fun stuff from the dollar section at target and the dollar store, so basically an activity bag.

For me I am mostly packing dresses, makes life easy haha. I'll have a couple shirts and a pair of jeans and shorts. I am a glutton for punishment so I will mostly be wearing flip flops and flats. My dh is in charge of his own stuff. Our son will probably have the biggest suitcase because he is finally in the point of life where boy clothes are suuuper cute (i am not into bubble suits or "dressy boy clothes" so basically we haven't had many options. he has always been dressed cute but like now he has white skinny jeans. let me repeat, WHITE SKINNY JEANS so. pumped. and yes i know they are only going to stay white for 3 minutes hahah) I still need to get him a new swim suit.

We are getting so close! I am at the point of questioning all of my choices and panicking and wondering if I am going to get everything done. Love this part!
