Do Disboarders who live there want a team?

I do not live in Modesto (just a note: there is no city after Modesto-just plain Modesto) but I'm not too far. I guess it's close enough to the east bay people to come watch if they want to. It's a mid size city with farming close by. Modesto was where Scott Peterson murdered his wife, Laci. Also, the home of George Lucas and the premise for American Graffiti

Modesto is also trying to keep their minor league baseball team, the Nuts.
And up here in Sacramento the temporary move of the Oakland A's here, is in jeopardy because the MLB players association has issues with the minor league stadium. This is temporary until a new stadium is built in Las Vegas. But even with public funding, it appears the owners can't raise their portion of the funding. So now, the possibility for the short term is the A's may HAVE to stay in Oakland.
Apparently cities and private investors are questioning the value of sports facilities.
