Moderate Resorts

Please help - I may actually be able to afford a moderate resort for my May trip but now I can't decide which one. Can anyone help? I'll be with my 18 year old DD. Any advise will be appreciated!!!

All moderates have the same room layout/bedding. Depends on the theme.

CBR = caribbean
POFQ = new orleans, smallest moderate, sister resort is PORS, meaning you can use there pool, etc.
PORS = the old south (our favorite moderate)
CRS = southwest, this is a convention hotel, food court chgs gratuity

The rooms are slightly larger at CBR, as well. Our favorite is PO-FQ... very convenient to everything !

We like POR because of the boat ride to DTD.

We enjoyed our March CSR getaway so much that we're returning with the family in August. We had originally planned to stay at the Poly in August, but were won over by the beauty of the Casitas section. We really loved all the palm trees and fountains. As others have stated before, CSR is a moderate that feels like a deluxe!

Another vote for French Quarter!! It's our favorite moderate.

All 4 moderates have their good points, heck I'd be happy to be in any of them right now. Our favorite is POFQ because we usually bring small children and the resort is perfect for us. The pool is wonderful for kids, the slide is great. The resort is small and compact so food, bus, pool, laundry, boat to DTD and POR are all close. The playground and hot tub are close together (hey, tired grandparents and busy kids both get what they need). We've stayed at CBR for the beach theme, at PO-R for the room for that 5th person and at CSR at a convention.

We have stayed at CBR and CSR and absolutely loved both of them. PO just didn't suit our taste. We just have this thing in our head that there has to be a beach or summer theme to the resort. We're picky.
I preferred CBR b/c of the grounds, and villages but my fiancee preferred CSR b/c we received amazing service for our birthdays and surprise engagement! Good luck.

Stayed at all of them and POR is our favorite. Love the landscaping, restraurant, foodcourt, and pools. I find this moderate is the most relaxing of the others. I agree that each has their strong points and some have things I don't like. Only POR doesn't have anything I don't like, so always end up there now.

POFQ! Small, cozy, great pool, boat trans to DTD, central location, good food-court, beautiful landscaping, great walk along the river, first on-first off bus service (POFQ shares busses with POR), and great ambience.
The only liability imo is the lack of a sit-down restaurant.
