I am thinking about staying at a moderate resort later this summer, our traveling party is 3 adults. We've never stayed in a moderate or a value resort so we aren't sure about the size of the rooms and such. We can't really afford to go to Disney this year and do all the parks like we normally would, so we were thinking of staying at a moderate (CBR) and just hanging around the resort, using the pool(s), beach, going to DTD, etc.

We were wondering are we going to be okay as 3 adults in the rooms at the moderates? Will we be cramped and falling over each other? We like our space, but I plan to spend most of my days at the pool/beach, DTD, and checking out other resorts so we can plan our next big trip.

So those of you that have stayed at the moderates please tell me about your experiences space wise.

Thanks so much!

We love POR. It is beautiful, clean and the food court is awesome.

I just got back from spending a week at CSR with two other people, and none of us felt the room was too small. It was actually a bit bigger than I expected. Compared to the deluxe resorts, the beds were definitely smaller but not too much to cause any trouble. I 100% prefer CSR over CBR. It has a much nicer pool, atmosphere, and bus system. I think you'll do just fine at a moderate. However, if you are concerned about having more space, I believe there are suites that are larger at CSR and the All Star resorts, but I don't know exactly how much bigger or more expensive they are. Good luck and have fun.

It should be fine, even though the moderates do have smaller sized rooms, I am sure that you will all be able to manage. Especially if you are not going to be in the room a lot. I know that the rooms in CBR are slightly larger than the other mods.

The best mod that I have stayed at so far is POFQ, we just loved it there. We have stayed at all of the mods, except for CSR.

Also, I know that they do have the privacy curtain in both POFQ and POR, but I think when we stayed at CBR back in 2004 they didn't have one, unless I am just halucinating. But, they may have one now. I am sure someone else will be able to tell you that for sure.

I think you'll be fine space wise. I've stayed at POR and CBR.....

I would go with POR. It is just so pretty and relaxing. You can have a true vacation and never leave the resort! Nice pools, good food, fun entertainment, bike rentals, boat rentals, fishing!

There are great boats to Downtown Disney! Trust me..you'll love it!

We have stayed at POR twice CBR once and CSR several times. CBR was my least favorite. My husband doesn't care for POR but our room both times was on facing the river/canal where the boats travel to DTD and such and I loved the peacefulness of it all. We both like CSR a lot. Rooms are laid out the same in all of them.

CSR! Great pool, transportation and food. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

POR/POFQ

I would go with POFQ or POR, no question! With 3 adults, here's why: 1.) The boat to DTD is great! Most resort busses to DTD are slow in coming. In fact, there is another thread entitled "Another great trip to the Poly, but..." which is on that very subject. The boat ride is relaxing and scenic. 2.) Entertainment in the lounges @ both resorts. Jazz musician @ POFQ, Bob Jackson @ POR. By the way, you can use all the amenities of POFQ/POR no matter which one you're staying at since they are sister resorts. 3.) Carriage rides, as well as boat and bike rentals. 4.) Nice rooms. CBR rooms are a little bigger. CSR rooms only have 1 sink so with 3 adults you may need 2. 4.) Beautiful landscaping and peaceful. 5.) Both have nice pools; POR also has quiet pools.

Whichever you choose, I hope you have fun! I'm just sold on POR!

A lot of people don't like CBR because it is spread out, but that is one of the reasons we love it. We love the beach so we love the tropical theming that goes along with CBR. I'm sure that all of the resorts are great.

Hi There BabyFu18! Glad to hear your coming to Disney this summer! Well have no fear I am here to help you with some planning tips! Well your question was which Moderate resort to stay at correct?? I think I have the perfect answer for you! I would reccommend Caribbean Beach Resort!! I have stayed there multiple times and i love it more and more everytime i go. I love how all the islands are colorful and each village area is located closely to the bus stops and Old Port Royal. Each village has it's own pool or you could go to the main pool locted behind the food court/shopping area (Old Port Royal). Also for your convience, an "Internal Resort Shuttle" runs during the day to take guests from village to village, to Old Port Royal and to the Custom house, that is where check in/check out is located. Rooms are very nice and are delightfully themed!!! You may request a specific bldg you would like to be in or village, but there is no guarentee you will get it. CBR is also a nice resort if you just want to chill out and have a great time around the resort! There is no real, oh how can i say "push" around there...everytime I have ever stayed there, all the guests are very relaxed and just taking it easy. No rushing around! Anyway, it's the perfect resort to go to! Well let me know if there is anything else I can do or any more info I can provide! I will be happy to do so! Have a Magical Day!

We loved POR- there is so much to do w/in the hotel and for three adults I think you will have a good time... Here are some of my reasons....
The bar has an amazing Piano man;popcorn:: he puts on a great show and is so entertaining..... The Foodcourt and Restaurants are great.... Since you brought up DTD; they have a boat that takes you directly there..... The grounds are wonderful & if you want to wake up in the morning or whenever to go for a walk its really breathtaking..... The service is second to none.....
The Private pools are really private!- My husband had a pool to himself two days in a row:love: - there was some sunbathers but no one was in the pool... They also have a little fishing pond that can take up some time; it is fun feeding fish hotdogs:rotfl: :confused3 (thats what they use for bait)
Pictures do not do this resort justice but its so well worth it... :dance3:

Definitely CSR! No shared transportation like POR/POFQ and only 4 stops compared to CBR. CSR has the best pool, it's beautifully landscaped and has quick rides to all the parks. The food options are great too! :thumbsup2

POR! It's a gorgeous resort. Awesome pool, beautiful landscaping, great transportation. Boat to DTD, newly refurbished food court.

We have stayed at CBR, CSR, and POR and the hands down winner is CSR. It's has great theming and feels a little more upscale than the others.

CSR at night is awesome!!
