mod resort vs caribe royale

This is our first trip to disney as a family and we are not sure if it is better to stay on site at a moderate resort or to stay at caribe royal (or radisson resort). We have a ten year old who loves pool slides. HELP!

Hummmmm! That's a hard one. I've always wanted to stay at the Caribe Royale. The pool looks awesome. You would definately have more room there, not to mention the small kitchen, 2 Tvs.......you are not far away from WDW. We drove past it while we were down there a couple of weeks ago, by accident. You weren't too far away from us (Vistana), and we were only a mile from DTD. I loved the location.

I've also stayed in a moderate, POR. I loved that too. We just didn't have the room that you would have with CR. BUT, it is Disney 24/7. And we thought the resort was beautiful. I've heard the moderate with the best pool is CSR though.

Do you care about the fridge, microwave, 2 TVs, great pool (are you going in a month that you know you would be using the pool a lot?)...............?? Or do those things not matter as much as being totally immersed with the mouse?

Oh, and are you driving?? Or do you need transportation? If you need to use transportation.........that ends it right there........Disney!
