Mod Resort in Dec question

Hi dis lovers. Will be booking a mod resort for week of Dec 2. Have heard one of the mods books pretty full at this time. Any Dis lover have an inside on this?

I believe you may be seeing the result of Pop Warner time. The kids usually stay at the AllStars but are given the option of one moderate at a higher cost.
You are probably seeing that result, where it's just the one moderate. Not sure which one they have been given though. Maybe someone else does???

In the past, at the moderate level, it has been Pop Warner at POR with overflow to POFQ. Parade performers at Caribbean Beach Resort with overflow (if there is any) at Coronado. Pop Warner is scheduled for Nov. 30th - Dec 8th this year and it looks like the parade taping (based on past years) will be Nov. 29th - Dec. 2nd.

Seriously though, if you are looking to stay in December I would get on the WDW website, click the link with promo's, enter your dates and see what is available. 4 months may seem like a long time, but with WDW, it is but a moment away.

I booked a surprise December trip for my DH's 60th and we are at the CSR December 6 - 10. I know there may be a dance group there, but they are a tame dance group from what I've heard. As others have said, Pop Warner is at the POR with overflow at POFQ most of the time (although they have not officially announced yet).

In years past it has been POR. However, last year they stayed at CBR because POR was undergoing renovations. This year, the renovations at POR will be complete during that time however there has been a lot of speculation that the mod choice hotel will still be CBR. This is because POR now has significantly less standard room inventory due to the royal guest rooms. Also, CBR is the last mod in need of renovations and it's no secret at Disney that the Pop crowd can be a little "rough" on the rooms. So this leads some to believe Disney will place them at CBR again rather than the newly renovated POR.

I agree with this. They can be a little "rough" and I can't see Disney wanting the new rooms having any damage.

we like as a moderate POR but may be full and as a value POP we have got so been staying at POP a lot

We LOVE POR. What a beautiful resort and the boats that float past OKW and SSR to DTD are an added benefit. However, if Pop Warner is staying there.....um.....maybe not.
