Mobility plus scooter rental- bariatric transportable

I have been looking for a bariatric/heavy duty transportable ecv. Must fit in an SUV. I found one at Mobility Plus . Has any one used Mobility plus before? What was your experience? Do you know of any other ecv companies that have transportable ecv for over 300 pounds?

I'm not familiar with Mobility Plus. I did see at Gold Mobility that the Victory 10 says it can hold up to 400lb. I know it fits in the back of a minivan even with the 3rd row up although it does have to be disassembled, so I'm assuming it will also fit in an SUV. They also reference a MAXIMA scooter that they recommend for guests 350+. I don't see that scooter on their website, however. It might be worth giving them a call though to see if they rent that one as well. We rented from them this past January and had a great experience with them. Good luck and I hope you are able to find a good scooter to rent.

The Victory 10 can indeed fit in the back of a minivan or SUV. Depending on the exact vehicle model, you may or may not have to disassemble the scooter.

It should be noted that while the Victory 10 does come apart generally, not every rental company sets them up to be able to be disassembled, so whomever you rent through, call and confirm.

Gold Mobilitys can be disassembled, if you go with a Victory 10 from them, call and ask if you can get a red model, as they were able to find larger batteries to put in their red ones and that should work better for you.

And they are officially rated for 400.lbs, but can handle heavier, just know the battery will die faster.

The Maxima does not come apart, but in general can fit in the back of a minivan or SUV, if you have at least three people to lift it. Best if you can put the back rowndown for this one. And yes, Gold rents this one, but you have to call.

There are also portable ramps on Amazon for about $150 thst you could have delivered to your resort, use and leave behind if necessary. You would just put the scooter in neutral.

Yes, it will, but as I said, if you specifically ask for the red version, the batteries are even larger and you won't have an issue. As long as you aren't the people DH and I have seen trying to put two large adults and tons of bags on a single scooter.

But they are right, it will impact battery life, they just have such good batteries it won't matter, it just means you might end your night with only two green lights instead of 3 or 4, again, especially on their red models. And if you try to avoid backtracking you will do even better.

And no there isn't something magical about Prides red Victory vs blue, it is specifically Gold's, as the Red are newer and they were able to find larger batteries thst worked in them when they go them.

That is new, they must have had issues with the Maximas being transported and damaged or people hurting themselves lifting it, it is really heavy.

In thst case, I would definitely say the red Victory 10.2 is the best bet from Gold.

Regardless of which vendor, or which model, the main thing to know is this:

Make sure you (or someone who will always be with you) can "dead lift" the amount of weight that equals the heaviest portion of the disassembled scooter.

Example: If the heaviest portion is 51 pounds, make sure that whoever is in charge of getting that scooter disassembled (or assembled) can lift 51+ pounds from the floor to the top of a dining table. That should approximate the highest load floor in any rental vehicle.

Some alternate ideas. Stay onsite and use Disney transportation. Use Mears or Uber accessible vehicles.
