Mobile Web/SW check-in

I added Mobile Web to my Verizon phone so I could check in at SW for our flight coming home. I can get the SW website to come up, but I can't seem to get anything to happen after that. Has someone successfully been able to check-in this way? And if so, how did you do it?

You should be able to see a pretty ugly page all in text that has SOUTHWEST AIRLINES as a header and five bulleted, underlined choices below that - Flight Checkin, Cancel Checkin, Contact Southwest, Terms/Conditions, and Privacy Policy. When you go into checkin by hitting the down arrow until you have highlighted it and then it OK to open that link, you need to put in your Confirmation number and then Passenger First and Last names in the boxes and then move to the button that says Retrieve Reservations and hit the OK button on your phone. It works fine on my LG EnV and on my daughters Razr V3c. Hope this helps!!

Wow, I don't have any of those headings. Mine shows like SW home, book a flight, travel tools, help, log-in. Definitely doesn't show check-in as a heading. And when I try to choose any of the headings I do have, nothing happens.

Do you have Verizon?

Yes. Think the difference is I'm pointing to the Mobile website for Southwest and you have the real webpage. Try this link:

http://mobile.southwest.com

I can see the additional items you mention if I go to www.southwest.com instead.

Just curious, are there other websites that require you to put the word "mobile" in front when you use the mobile web?

From the links I've saved as bookmarks on my phone, they all have mobile in front of them. JetBlue is http://mobile.jetblue.com and Delta is mobile plus a bunch of other stuff then delta. com. My understanding is that the mobile pages have been WAP enabled to work on PDA's, Blackberry's, Windows Mobile, and certain cell phones. You will find issues with flash code sometimes depending on it's version. I find I can checkin for most airlines, hotels and car rental companies via these forms. you can also view certain third party email (Yahoo for example) on the phone. Best of luck on your checkin's. I always checkin on the phone and reprint the boarding pass at the front desk or airport.
