Mobile phone questions

I've read several threads about mobile phones and the best options whilst we're away, but am still confused. There is so much info it's mind boggling.
DH & I want to be able to use our phones to call each other whilst in Florida as our children have different needs and we will need to split up at times. We are not so bothered about calls home. I have been looking at the option of pre-paid SIM cards but am confused about the best one to buy. I thought AT&T go phone, but I have an iPhone and it looked like there was something confusing about APN which means nothing to me !!! Also being able to purchase on-line before we go is important because we don't drive. I also want to be able to activate the card and purchase any credit on- line.
Has any one heard of or used network 10? What are your experiences?

We have the same issue and i phones. I would say if you only need limited two way communication (text message e.g. At MK meet you at 5 back at hotel), then just suck up the charges and text on your i phone. Probably cheaper than any type of replacement. If you need to make a lot of calls that's different.

However, free WI Fi in MK and Epcot so you can use face book messages for free in those parks. I have a feeling free Wi Fi may have been rolled out to other parks too but not certain.

We downloaded viber on our phone for free calls and texts you just need wifi. I know Hollywood studios and magic kingdom have free wifi as we have used it never checked in the other parks as we did not split up in those ones.

All the parks and Downtown Disney now have wifi access which makes it a lot easier for communication now as others have said.

There are options out there that you can use to use the free wifi so you can still basically 'text' but without the outrageous charges
