Now that Disney is forcing us to bury our noses in our phones for so many reasons, what are the best mobile phone chargers and why? I note that our group doesn't carry backpacks or use strollers so size is important.

This is the one I have and used in the parks back in February:

I know it's expensive but it goes on sale frequently. You're able to charge wirelessly and 2 phones at a time. You also can't go wrong with any Anker power bank. I don't recommend the fuel rods that you can get at the Disney parks and resorts. You can get a power bank that works better for the same price or cheaper.

The actual need to have your face buried in the phone is much, much less than people think. Regular phone batteries for fairly new phones will last the entire day.

You can buy a cell phone case that is also a battery charger. That's the easiest. It'll make your phone heavier but it won't be an extra device and wire to carry around.

We use Fuel Rods and you can swap out in the parks if needed. I also bought a cute Disney themed holder made by a furloughed CM :)

This! In FP+ days I routinely ran out of battery. We were there for two weeks in March and I didn’t run out once.

I think it depends on your touring style though. We preferred stacking for the afternoon/evening so I only had to check every 2 hours. If you “grab and go” (early timeslots then grab the next LL) you will use it a bit more.

While I have a couple good ones, I've been using the Fuel Rods in the parks. I switch them out the minute I walk in the park so I know I'm set and even need later in the day I switch it again. Of course I'm a repeat visitor and been doing this since they got them in the parks. I purchased two and have never spent anything else.

I take LOTS of photos using my phone in addition to what it requires of me with MDE ... and even putting on battery saver I'll still need to charge at some point.

Since I got my iPhone 13 Pro, I don't seem to have any problems running out of juice like I used to with my 11 and previous models. I can go the whole day in the park and still have some power left over when I get back to my resort.

I love our Ankor powercore. But, its bigger and heavy, but can charge 4 phones easily (so doesn't sound like it would work for the op). I also carry a small backpack, so the size and weight isn't an issue. That way we have our water bottles and raingear if needed.

I recently purchased the Anker Powercore Fusion 10000, which works as a wall charger or as a portable charger. I currently have a Mophie battery case for my old phone that worked well, but I am upgrading my phone soon, and knew I would need something different. The OP didn’t mention if they go bagless, just that they didn’t use a backpack. I wear a crossbody bag, and this will fit easily into the bag I carry. It’s not going to be as convenient as a battery case, but it will provide multiple charges and I won’t have to pack a separate wall charger for travel. I have tested it on my iPad Pro, and it charges it up twice from around 20%, so I anticipate similar performance with a phone.

We bought the Anker 313 Power Bank but barely used it aside from the one day where my wife forgot to charge her phone overnight. We overestimated the amount of time we thought we could stay in the parks before our biological batteries ran out of juice.

Yeah, co-signed on this. I kept hearing how often people had to use their phones for Genie+ but I found that to not be our experience at all. In fact, I'd say 90% of our daily phone usage was to look at menus, place mobile orders for food, or just to navigate around the parks (google maps especially!) Unless you're trying to refresh in the hopes of snagging a hard to get LL that already sold out, using genie+ took less than a minute for each booking window. I simply set a reminder on my calendar, or used a 2hr timer on my watch that ran in the background. Booking LLs this way was so much easier to manage than I had expected. Then again, I spent a lot of time in the research and planning phase, so I was prepared to know what to look for when my window opened and what to book on-the-fly.

I used this Anker battery pack in March and loved it. About the size of a 2nd mobile phone, so it wasn't bulky. I also don't usually bring backpacks to the parks, so it worked out great.

I use something similar to the fuel rods that I bought on Amazon. We have a couple of the fuel rods but if you didn't register them when you bought them years ago, you now have to pay to swap them. I just recharge the one I have in the room at night. I think I had to use it once last week and I don't use Genie +. I do read on my kindle on my phone while in line and that can suck the battery and I take pictures. I have an android phone about 1 year old.
