I’ve use the mobile passport app in Port Everglade before. I understand that as of February it’s no longer useable. Mobile Passport Control.,or MPC helps at most airports. Does anyone know if Port Everglades is using this instead now?

AFAIK, it's still accepted BUT you have to download a different app to use it. The app developed by Airside Mobile was discontinued back in February. CPB released their own version. If you search for "mpc passport" in your phones app store, you should see the new one.

I’m trying to find out if they’re using either of the two. The Airside replacement or MPC. MPC has been getting a few bad reviews because they say places aren’t using it yet and don’t know what it is, ugh. And other people are saying that they couldn’t have gone faster through the line because they had a separate line just for the app. Actually, that’s most people are saying it’s great and I was just hoping port Everglades made the switch because I used them back in 2020 just before the pandemic shut everything down. I felt like a Disney VIP.

I just checked it on the app on my phone and Port Eveglades is listed along with Mimami, Palm Beach and Puerto Rico. Intrestinly Poart Cnaveral isn't listed on it.

Port Everglades is listed as one of the participating MPC locations on the CBP website: uhttps://www.cbp.gov/about/mobile-apps-directory.

This will be interesting to see as Disney takes its permanent place in Port Everglades this fall.

I’ve done a facial recognition - somewhere, coming off some ship. Probably Miami.

Last month, in San Juan, unloading 2000+ guests off the Magic, we still had humans checking passports. There was an insignificant time in line and we were out the door.

And no Declaration papers offered nor mentioned.

Port Everglades uses facial recognition in at least terminals 25 and 26, or did in December.

They don’t work for me because I am in a wheelchair and am not positioned at an angle the camera can match.

Great…. I have 2 that will be in wheelchairs that day.

The operator gave up trying after 2 minutes, called a supervisor over, looked at my passport, and sent me on my way. It worked well for those who could get their heads into the position the camera expected. Little kids would likely need to look up a bit by tilting their head back. Wheelchair users probably need to do the same. My neck is completely immobilized, both tilting and rotating, which makes me one in a million.
