MObile ordering ?

DOES EACH person with a magic band need to order their own meal? Or can one person order for the whole party and we all swipe bands at counter?

In Nov, 2018 my sister and I had the Dining Plan and one of us went up to the counter to get our order. Both credits were taken from one Magic Band. I assume the credits will come off any one person's band. IF you are a party of multiple persons and multiple rooms keep that in mind.
I absolutely loved the pre-ordering. TIP: if you want those Dole Whips in the MK , it is so convenient to use the pre-order instead of the long line wait!

You don't actually ever scan your band to pick up mobile orders. You order on your phone and then when you arrive at the restaurant, click arrive here on the my disney experience app. The app will then give you the message that your order is ready and you go to the window to pick up your food. The CM might ask to see the order number on your phone. The payment is taken from your magicband at the time your order. Do be advised if you have multiple rooms, mobile order will take the credits from the room that the person whose my disney experience account you are ordering under is registered too. If you have two rooms, this will require two different mobile orders.
And yes, lots of CS places offer this, I believe the majority do at this point.

You pay via the app, not at the counter. It doesn't really have anything to do with your magic band.

With a credit card (not dining plan), the credit card on your MDE app is charged for whatever you order.

thanks for the details about more than 1 room. We will have 2 rooms, I have my family in my MDE and have always managed everyone. I guess I will have my daughter set up MDE on her phone so she can order for her room and use their dining credits.

You would need to do it that way. While you could put the others in your Family group for FPs, etc, I don't think you would be able to see their DDP credits since you are in a different room.
