How does the DVC discount work with mobile ordering at quick service restaurants?

I haven't been keeping up on this, but isn't the mobile ordering only for those on a dining plan? Or was that just part of the trial run when this started a while back?

Not sure if it has been resolved yet but the DVC discount wasn't being applied to our mobile orders at Disneyland last month so we ended up just waiting inline to place our orders to get the discount.

Mobile ordering was just for a couple quick service places and they didn’t have a DVC discount even if you ordered there. I was not on the dining plan and I could access it.

Mobile food ordering has always been open to everyone since it launched. Payment using a Disney Dining Plan was added after the full roll out of accepting locations.

A follow up, I know a few QS locations offer the TIW discount, will that discount be applied with mobile ordering?

Once you’ve added everything that your family cares to enjoy, you can review your order and purchase it right from the app. We currently accept credit cards, debit cards and Disney dining plans for mobile order payments.

If you would like to use Disney Gift Cards or any discounts that may be available to you, please order in person at the restaurant.

For one, there are very few QS locations at WDW that offer any dining discount. Of the few that do, (AFAIK) none of them offer mobile ordering via the MDE app.

Currently, no. Any discounts can only be obtained using regular ordering.

On the list of current discounts offered, only a handful of QS locations at Disney Springs and 1-2 locations at Coronado Springs offer a DVC discount, and none of them use mobile ordering anyhow. Same with AP discount- there are a few QS places (mostly in Disney Springs) that offer it, and none of them use mobile ordering.

Have things changed at WDW? I don't remember any QS locations giving an AP or DVC discount. And the only ones that gave a TiW discount were at Animal Kingdom. Are more QS locations doing discounts. now?

Just did a quick check and you are mostly correct. I did find La Cantina in Epcot offers a DVC 10% discount.
