Mobile order using Disney Gift Cards?

At Disney now. I bought several Disney Gift Cards at a discount at Sams to use for our food purchases. But now that I’m here, I can’t figure out how to use the gift card as a payment method. It only has a place for actual credit card payments. I was hoping it would just charge to our account as if I swiped my band and then we could pay at the hotel with our gift cards at checkout like normal. Am I out of luck in using the mobile order with the gift cards?

You are out of luck unfortunately. You can only use a credit card or dining plan credit. No discounts are accepted either.

Mobile Ordering is done either directly to the credit card on your MDE account or to the dining plan connected to the account. You can not use gift cards and if does not go through as a room charge.

I feel your pain, OP. I wish they'd get this sorted out so that it at least can be done as a room charge that can later be paid off with gift cards. Alas, no mobile ordering for us this trip as it's all being paid for with gift cards. Oh well.
