Mobile order at TS restaurants?

We have upcoming reservations at The Wave, Kona and GFC. How exactly does Mobile order work? Is it the only way to order, fastest way to order, can you choose to carry out or dine in? Thank you for any info.

Mobile order is done (mostly) at Quick Service. There are a few Table Service that are offering "to go" options. Disney Food Blog has an article about which spots are offering "to go" and they are updating that blog post.

If you have a reservation and plan to eat there - even if they offer the to go option - your order will be taken by waiter/waitress.

So, it really depends on if you're going to eat in the dining room.

Thank you very much. We're table service fans of WDW restaurants for the last 40 years but rarely do QS especially in the parks. That link answers all my questions. We'll be at BLT so mobile order will hopefully work well for us at The Wave. We'll plan on enjoying GFC and Kona in the traditional way.

Just saw something posted on the here now board that the Wave is only allowing mobile ordering for guests staying there right now. Might change but that's for now.
