So excited! Installing it now! Thanks for sharing!

And that is exactly why I have two different iTunes account. The only downside is that you can't buy anything using a credit card that was not issued in the US (exception to this rule is the American Express card) but all the free apps are good to go. Or you can buy them using a iTunes gift card! That's what I do.
How did you do this? I tried to set up a US itunes account but it wouldn't let me as my CC isn't US? I tried fibbing it as I've lived in the US and used my old post code, but because of that it didn't match the adress in my bank records so it didn't work...

Not available in Canada...grr we never get the good apps.
I used this app (on my Sprint HTC Evo) for the first time at MK yesterday.... it is awesome!! The only down side to me was the fact that it really ran down my battery fast. Thankfully I brought my charger with me though and was able to recharge it during dinner.
I love and highly recommend the app! I will be using it whenever we hit WDW from now on!!!

Check out the link in post #68.

the simple answer is that the app was created out of a partnership between Apple and Verizon, which is a US only company. I don't know what is in their agreement, but it is not solely up to Disney where it gets sold.I just can't figure out what possible rationalization Disney could have for making this a US only app, and it is Disney not Apple doing that. The vendor chooses how wide the distribution is. The mobile web site is still available to international users and it has the same info so it's not like it's US only information. And it shouldn't be to protect AT&T and Verizon because my iPhone connects to AT&T when I'm in the US so they'd get the data dollars anyway.
It feels a lot like when Disney ended its Disney Club which gave benefits to members worldwide and replaced it with the Disney Chase Visa which was available only in the US. A complete thumbing of their nose at their international customers.
Come on Disney, why won't you let the rest of the world have the same advantages for a good trip as your US patrons. Shameful.
