Usually not that big a problem getting the tickets unless for Halloween itself.
Below are pictures of the last time we went, I call it my Jack Sparrow adventure.
Back then there was NO POTC stuff to buy anywhere, Disney missed the Ship on that one.
I made the Jack Sparrow and will costumes from items gathered from all over the world. Made the Wig myself too, out of two Human hair wig peices.
The costumes were a HUGE hit that year as the park did not have any POTC characters. We got stopped over 50 times for photos including many cast members, had one of the Characters in the parade spot Jack and give a Thumbs up.
My son really got into the part, and at Liberty Square we went on the Columbia and waiting in line to get on he turned to the line and said, " Welcome aboard, I will be taking over the ship" they all laughed and cheered.
It happens one of my boys does look like Orlando Bloom and so he came along to offer, moral support to "Jack".
Neither really wanted to do this but did it for me and I think they did have fun once there, and as I say really got into it.
Only downside was that Disney security did not like people taking their pictures, even though we were constantly telling everyone we had nothing to do with the park.
Now that they DO have a Jack of their own there I am sure we would not have been able to get in even on
MNSSHP night.
Glad we went when we did.
