I really don't know much about this. It seems expensive. We will be at MK on 9/21 and 9/26. Is it worth the money for the party? Are all the rides open during the party? What else is going on? Thanks!!!

We LOVE the MNSSHP! There are special characters out in costume for M&G, and free Trick-or-Treating! The parade is also pretty awesome, starting with the Headless Horseman. I wish we could go this year, but we couldn't get there until November, so it's MVMCP.

This is the one tour/extra that I make my number one priority when going to disney this time of year. It's well worth the price just to be able to walk on rides. The longest ride waits will be about 15 minutes for PP, and Haunted mansion. And I'll be at both those parties you mentioned! The great thing about going solo is that I don't have to buy tickets for three people, so I bought myself three separate tickets. :thumbsup2

I think it depends on the age group of your party. It is quite expensive but we had to do it with 2 six year olds or they would have missed trick or treating completely because we were there on Halloween. No way we were getting away with that!

However, that was really all we got out of it. By the time we trick or treated and watched the parade the kids were worn out and ready to go so we didn't benefit from shorter ride lines. It was cool and memorable but I wouldn't pay that much for the experience unless I was at the World on the 31st and had to do it for the kids.

The flip side is someone I met on Sunday who goes with her inlaws and kids every year in very elaborate costumes. They wouldn't miss it.

We're two adults so we may have a different take on it. We went to MNSSHP the last week of September a few years ago. We found the wait times to be comparable to what they were during the day in September, so we didn't really benefit from shorter lines. We aren't into characters, so we didn't care much for the meet & greets. We did the trick or treating but much of the candy was chocolate which got melty and messy in the September heat. We DID think the parade and fireworks were great, but not worth the $120 we had spent on the party. We're glad we did it, but will pass if we're ever back in the Fall. FWIW - we gave MVMCP a shot last year and felt the same. :confused3

Last year we drove to FL just go to MNSSHP and will be doing the same again this year. It is a blast and totally worth the money for us. Besides special M&Gs there is trick-or-treating. The best part to me was all the rides were walk-ons and I did not have to stake out a good spot for the parade hours in advance. We found a spot on the sidewalk near Casey's about 45 minutes before the second parade started, but the sidewalk and space behind us was empty for a good 15-20 minutes (I do not think the same applies to the first parade though). The only ride I remember being closed was Jungle Cruise. The fireworks were amazing!

I would not be paying that money if I was more about riding the rides then doing the stuff that is party oriented.

We did all party stuff-- including villian show, parade, Hallowishes.

After the 2nd parade the rides were all walk on. Seems a large group head out of the park after the 2nd parade.

We did trick or treating later in the evening when they were giving it away by the bushels. Attending the dance parties which were almost empty.

amazing time
