I have only been in October once....more than 20 years ago! DH and I will be there Oct 15-23. I know nothing about the MNSSHP. What is it? Does it go on all month? Are there special events, other than Oct 31? Info...please.

It's great fun!

It runs throughout the month of October. The tickets went on sale May 1 last year.

The DIS has already posted this year's dates as being Sept 30, Oct 2, 4, 7, 11, 13, 16 18, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31.

The parade is great and the trick or treating is too! It's a special event at MK after park hours. They re-open from 7:00p to Midnight for ticket holders. Most of the rides are open and the lines usually aren't long unless you go Halloween night or Friday nights.

You just call Disney's main number for tickets. Watch here for when they go on sale this year.

Halloween night sells out and then the Fridays usually sell out too. Weekdays aren't as busy.

It's the one time in the year that they allow adult to dress up in costumes as well as the kids! I've gone the passed 2 yrs and had the best time!

I still don't get it...what's make it a party? Other than the parade, what makes it different than extra hours? How much are the tickets?

It's really a lot of fun. You get to trick or treat at the attractions for candy. You geta free family photo. They have a special Halloween parade and the park is all decked out in Halloween decorations, noises and lights.

Never been personally, but am going this year. Here's what I can tell you:

-Tickets are around $32/adult, $26/child.
-Even though the party doesn't "officially" begin until 6:00 p.m., they will let you in the gate around 4:00 p.m.
-They sell a limited number of tickets, so not only is the park open til midnight, there are far less people there, and many rides are walk ons.
-There are halloween parades, trick or treating in certain areas, fortune tellers, ghost stories, and the like.
-Almost everyone says it's a blast, so I'll be there in October with bells on!
