OK, I need some suggestions, thoughts and ideas. We have never been to the MNSSHP. We will be there in Sept and there is two dates available for that time. We have twins that are 3. My questions are: is it worth the money? what is the difference in the nights (other than the price), what all is involved? Do the adults dress up? Do you really need advice tickets? Thanks for anyone willing to share information. I would love to hear about anyones previous experience!!
THANKS!

I'm no help because I was wondering about this myself. I'm going to subscribe!

We did the halloween party last year. It was fun and the parade was really good and so were the fireworks. We got tons of candy. My son dressed up and so did I (I'll find any excuse to wear a tiara). My husband wore a shirt I got at Walmart that said "I don't do costumes". The tshirt was very popular. I saw tons of guys wearing them. It was fun but I think the xmas party is better.

We did the Halloween party in 06. :thumbsup2 I did not dress up but DD who was 5 did. We are going again this year. I thought the crowds were less and we pretty much had the park to ourselves. Yes I think you need to have advance tix, I think they may sell out.

We did a MNSSHP in early Oct last year on a week night.
Yes, most people dress up in some form or fashion. Some elaborate, some not so elaborate. The kids get candy at a bunch of stations around the park. There is a special parade and special fireworks.

Is it worth it??? Depends on your family. If you love parades, it is a cool parade. The fireworks and music are great also. Unfortunately, my kids don't really care about these things, so it wasn't so great for us. They love the rides more than the entertainment.
I thought it would be less crowded for the rides. Not so AT ALL, until after the late parade. Then (and it was late) the park was empty and we rode Space Mountain and Buzz several times in a row with no wait. It was fun and festive, but I'm not so sure I'd do it all over again.

we did P&PP last year & are doing MNSSHP this yr, I think it is a nice thing to do, it is a bit $$, I don't know that we would be a 'repeater' but to do each party once or twice is pretty neat. We are planning to dress up (& I have been getting very good ideas:thumbsup2). There is no difference in the nites- other than perhaps crowds- I know Halloween sells out & I'm sure the Friday parties are busier than the others (that being said- it's Disney- so it's all crowded).;) I would suggest advanced tickets if you are sure you want to go, 2 reasons 1. you never know, more than just Halloween may sell out & 2. it's cheaper on select nites.
Your 2 y/o twins would be free.
sorry- I see in your post that they will be 3.

We have friends who did the Halloween party last year and absolutely loved it. I would suggest checking out several reviews on allears rate & review section regarding the Halloween party. I haven't done the Halloween party, will be doing it this year, but we found the Christmas party to be very worth it.

I think it is not only how much you want to do the special events for the party--special parade, special fireworks, etc--but what your tolerance level is. When we did the Christmas party, we didn't find the crowds overwhelming and it was a sold out night. My suggestion is that you should try everything at least once to make your own judgment.

I would definitely buy tickets in advance. One, you'll get to make ADRs that are only available to those with party tickets. Two, many nights will sell out. Three, I *think* there is an advance purchase discount (could be wrong here, things change year to year) and some nights are more expensive than others this year. The cheaper nights are supposed to be less crowded nights; higher demand, higher cost.

Hi in MHO i would not prebuy as we did last year and it poured and i mean poured and extremely dangerous lightening and the thunder was horrible and these tickets are not refundable, in sept the weather is sooooo unpredicable the days were beautiful sunny hot and then everyday around 4-5 the clouds rolled in and either a fast shower or on this day terential downpours the rides were down, the parade was cancelled we stayed maybe 20 minutes (because it stopped raining for that short time) but then it was too dangerous to stay. so that is my opinion and when we go this year we will wait until that night to buy good luck we also will be there when there is 2 of them

We have our tickets...definately don't suggest waiting until that day because these parties typically sell out well in advance. It is a gamble with the weather. I will say that my tickets cost $153 for two adults and 1 child which is more than is listed on the prices above (we are going on a "non-premium night). To the OP, I hope that it worth is...for $153 (especially since you are really paying double for tickets that day if you got a length of stay pass). But this is our last WDW vaca for awhile (DD is starting school in 09 and we refuse to go during vacation times...can't handle the crowds). Sooo, we figure we'll go out with a bang and spare no expense. Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is at least somewhat nice!

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I will read the reviews and decide. I am sure we will go, I guess we will never really know until we try it out
