As in what it stands for or what the night involves?

Stands for Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party, as for the night.....it was probably the best night we have ever spent in a Disney park. Mostly people watching ...nearly everyone was in fancy dress and we haven't laughed so much for ages!! Link for trip report for the day of party is http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1652947

What type of costumes do people wear? We hope to go with our elder son he will be easy to dress but not sure what I would wear.

We've been three times and really enjoy it.

First time we went we weren't too sure what to expect - it was superb. Lots of character interaction (dressed differently in their Halloween gear), the Headless Horseman parade is good to see (two different times each night). And all the candy you can stuff!! We always seem to come home with loads.

My DD and DH always dress up (I'm obviously a stiff cos I only get a wacky Halloween t'shirt, jewellery etc;) ). Last October there didn't seem to be quite so many people dressing up, but still hazard a guess around 50% do. Have to say, I've never seen so many pirates in my life, last October - it was hilarious. Every shape, colour and sex:)

We also visited SeaWorld who had their own halloween stuff on (during normal park hours). Obviously no different to a normal day there, unlike MNSSHP, but it was fun nonetheless. To be honest, it was more geared towards the children, but it doesn't stop me;) There were lots of different little stops to get candy in your bag, characters and people dressed as flora and fauna. There were some very funny little sideshows going on, too.

Halloween is our favourite time of the year to visit the States. We love it:thumbsup2

 Lots of guests enjoy MNSSHP it's great for kids they have a wonderful time and there's nothing too frightening so you can take the toddlers and babies too.;)
Some people prefer this to the fun at Universal Studios which can be scarier, we saw some of their antics a few years ago when they were preparing the parks before the fun began, some of the effects were very realistic.

You can order your tickets directly over the phone you don't need to book with a travel agent or tour operator but be aware they do sell quickly. We rang up for our MMVCP tickets one year and received them about three days later by FedEx , no problems. You'll probably have to leave the park at the normal closing time and re-enter with your tickets and have hands UV stamped to confirm you have paid. Enjoy the fun.

where exactly could I get tickets please?
I have had a look at the web site but see no opportunity to book,

or shuld I wait till I get over there?

thanks folks

You can book online or phone them for the tickets, we have ours delivered to ourhome so that we have them before we go.
I think its April or early may that you can get them..:goodvibes
