Thanks for your ideas everyone. I received our tickets in the mail this week. YAY!!! We are so looking forward to attending this event.
I suggested a group pirate thing, but only the 4-year-old agrees with being a pirate. Then I suggested Peter Pan characters as DH would finally agree to being Captain Hook. Then we tossed around the idea of Alice in Wonderland characters as DH would love to be Mad Hatter (and the 4yo as well). I was thinking about the Queen of Hearts for myself. My daughters could be "big Alice and small Alice", but they do not want to be Alice at all. So, I believe we will either go as different "Disney" characters (older DD wants to be Minnie Mouse) or go as group of mouseketeers with personalized shirts, ears, etc.
I realize that the party is three months away, but I want to get the costumes figured out and completed so I can check that off my Disney to do list. My overplanning is driving my family crazy ... HAHAHAHA!! In my humble opinion, I'd rather have a plan and then be prepared to go with the flow as each moment sees fit. I feel nothing captures magical moments like spontaneity, but I find those moments are always encapsulated within my grand plans. And, to think I was never a girl scout nor a planner until I hit my thirties...HA!
So excited, so excited ...
