MNSSHP....What costume ideas do you have?

I'll be Grandmother Willow this year! Of course, I won't be going to WDW. I would definitely have an extra luggage charge for that costume! It would need it's own suitcase!

Our costumes aren't very 'Disney,' but DW and I are going as Hall & Oates, the 80's pop band. I'm working on growing that mullet as we speak! ;)

I'm certain nobody will be able to tell who we are from our costumes, though!

We went last Halloween as the Skipper and Gilligan. We had a blast. The CM's would sing the theme song to us on almost every ride. I was invited to be the skipper on the Jungle Cruise but we didn't want to take any chances. It was a simple costume, not hot and we had a ball interacting with everyone that night. At first I was a little apprehensive about wearing a costume but after the great night we had I would recommend do little trick or treating.
Great costumes! I bet that was fun!

Our October trip is usually all adults and normally we just wear some type of simple Halloween tshirt. Last year there were six of us and we all wore matching shirts from the disney store that were very nice bowling shirts embroidered with our names and had a bowling Donald Duck on the back and said Quack Pot Bowling team....it really was fun, simple and cool!

This year there will be 8 of us and I have yet to decide. Of course simple tshirts that have snow white and the 7 dwarfs names on back has come to mind...just don't know for sure yet.

I'm thinking that if FH (will be DH then) and I go, that I will dress up like Snow White... He probably won't dress up at all. I thought about going as Sulley and Boo, but I'm not that short.

My S-I-L's mom always has a big Halloween party. One year DH & me went as the Blues Brothers. It was a blast. Too hot for WDW though. Lots of compliments. Still haven't decided what costumes we'll wear. DS will be 14 & not too inclined to dress up. We'll see though.

This will be our first trip for the Halloween party and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the "rules" are as far as costumes go.

I understand they need to be light and easy to move in. What i was wondering about in particular was the scare factor. Do you have to tone down the scariness of your costumes as it is Disney or do they not mind. Also do they allow full head masks or is that frowned upon?

Any help anyone could give would be most appreciated.

Hiya folks,

This isn't Disney related, but we were thinking of going as cave people. My dbf has an old Fred Flintstone costume I can alter, and I was thinking of finding myself a brown tee and chopping it up, maybe do some sponge "leopard" spots on it in orange & yellow fabric paint.

I figured it would be nice to have a minimal costume, as each time I've tried to go for the MNSSHP, I sweat to death because of the muggy heat even at night time!

Also non-Disney, but my favorite costume I saw there: Giant 6'3" dad was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, complete with ruby slippers, mom was the scarecrow, and they had a 6 to 8 month old baby with them as... Toto!! It was amazingly cute.

dh and I are going as pirates pirate:

I'm trying to do some creative cutting of cardboard to make a pirate ship costume for his wheelchair.... lol, it's the good ship "the comely wench"
