We've been to Mickey's Christmas Party, is MNSSHalloweenP different? We're trying to decide between that and trick or treatin' at the fort. OR if both are great we can do both. I'd love to hear some opinions!

I enjoyed the MNSSHP more then the Christmas Party and usally when I've been there for Hollween I go to the Party but last time we didn't go to the party and really enjoyed Holloween at the Fort.. GO TO BOTH!

I can not even begin to tell you how much fun your family will have at the MNSSHP! It is more than worth the money! You can not believe the decorations, fireworks and the parade........to DIE for:thumbsup2 ! The headless horseman was beyond words!:scared1:

The lines for the rides are much shorter and the dance parties are so much fun! Don't forget to go straight to ToonTown for FREE face painting(yes, the $20 and up kind) before the lines get too long.

The characters are unreal. You will see villains and char. you don't EVER get to see. We are still eating our candy from that trip! You can tell we loved it and I don't even like Halloween!;)

We have never been to any of the other parties, but I doubt any could be as good as this one. Disney goes over the top with the activities and decorations. Go to WDWinfo.com to look at pics and the maps from last year. It gives you a good idea of what happens where in MK the night of the party!

Go and have the time of your life!:thumbsup2

we have got our tickets for the MNSSHP for the first time, you guys are really getting me excited about going.

This will be our 6th or 7th year of going to MNSSHP. But last we were able to do both as we were at the Fort during Halloween. I really think you will enjoy doing both because they both are such a blast to experience....

I vote for both.

Stop by. We will be giving out microwave Halloween popcorn packs. Some where in the 700 loop again I hope.

We are going to do both! :thumbsup2 We plan on going to MNSSHP several days before Halloween, and then Halloween night we plan on trick-or-treating at the Fort! The MNSSHP really is a lot of fun! The special "Hallow-Wishes" is awesome!! As mentioned before, the headless horseman is really cool too!

We enjoyed the halloween party sooooo much better then the christmas party. In fact after the christmas party we said we wouldn't do it again, we didn't feel it was worth the money. We went last Oct. and didn't buy party tickets because we hadn't liked the Christmas party that much. We happened to be getting off the monorail at MK just as the MNSSHP was starting and it looked so awesome we bought tickets for that night(we lucked out that they were still available) We had a BLAST!! In fact we are going back in Oct. and have our tickets for the 21st!! I have never done halloween at the fort, but I wouldn't miss the party. We saw so many characters that you don't usually see, and the atmosphere is great. My vote would be to try and do both. But if you can't do the party. Have fun!

MNSSHP is a blast! We've done both MNSSHP and MVMCP and IMO MNSSHP is the best. Christmas is my favorite time of year but the Halloween Party was a lot better than the Christmas one. Our MNSSHP plan goes like this:
1) Dress up (yes, even the adults, it's fun!)
2) Be at MK at 4:00 (they will let you in early with your hard ticket)
3) Grab a locker (free for MNSSHP)
4) Ride Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean and anything else if time permitted before ADR
5) Eat at LTT (need ADR) around 5:00ish (the characters are dressed up in their Halloween costumes)
6) Get pictures made. We dress as pirates so we get a lot of pictures made in and around Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
7) Get MNSSHP T-shirts at the Emporium but while getting there, stop at every Trick-or-treat spot along the way.
8) Go to locker, get change of clothes and wear MNSSHP T-shirts.
Then enjoy the rest of the evening partying, and don't miss the parade!

We change after pictures because our costumes are thick and heavy therefore very hot, but do ride some rides in costume before changing especially Splash Mountain where they take your picture :thumbsup2...very cool.

will do! We'll hopefully in loop 1000 with 21 of our friends for a Grand Gatherin'!

How many folks go trick-or-treatin at the Fort? I want to be prepared. Would hate run out of treats!

ALOT.. quite sometime ago someone said they passed out 8 of the LARGE bags of candy and still ran out.

I can't WAIT to be at the Fort on Halloween. DH LOVES Halloween and LOVES giving out the candy to kids, but we have maybe one or two that stops by. He'll be in HEAVEN giving out the candy to all the little ones

Last year we used 3 cases of pop-corn and 3 big bags of candy. I lost count at 200 people that came by before we ran out(by 8:45pm). The year before we only had about 75 kids stop. I think that the closer you are to the settlement area the more kids stop by.

I think the WL people come over to the Fort to trick or treat.....Seriously other resorts and some locals come over also, so start stocking up early...Start a candy fund.:rotfl:

FTW and trick or treating 101.

The kids will only stop if they see you out at the end of your driveway they will not knock on your door. Most of the smaller kids are being driven around by there parents on Golf cars so they must see you to stop.
We use two chairs and a small table with some kind of light on it at the end of our driveway. We Play spooky music on the outside radio and have some blow up decorations around the site.

You can look at Fort wilderness picture of the day thread to see some of the OVER THE TOP site decorations
