We are going the end of Sep. We were going to go the first night 9/29, since we have never been MNSSHP will it be really crowded the first night? We are doing the dining plan so we are actually going to do counter service that night (We have done LTT for MVMCP). We went MVMCP the first night and it was extremely crowded but it was also over Thanksgiving weekend. Any tips.
THANKS

We have been to MNSSHP the past 2 years on the first day day of the event. Both times we never experienced a wait longer than 10min!!! These 10min waits were merely on Big Thunder Mountain and Stitch (although the Stitch preshow could account for at least 5 min of the wait).
We wil be going again this year on the first night and are not at all worried about the lines!!!! :cool1:

Let's hope this is true. We are also going on the first night, because we will be there during free dining....I have a feeling many WDW visitors there during the free dining promotion will take advantage of MNSSHP and this may make the first few parties a bit more crowded than usual...I hope I am wrong though!

We attended a sold out MVMCP 2004, if this one isn't sold out, at least I will have something to compare it to crowd wise.

Nonetheless, we are still planning on going and having a great time. We will have a late lunch at WCC and head on over to MK as soon as possible(4pm) so that we can tackle a couple of rides before the park is closed and we are all herded to a land of the park to wait.

Can't wait!

if you can - try to get a good seat for the parade early... I think we got there 1/2 hour before parade time and got a seat on "the curb" so to speak, but it was about the last space around - and shortly after it was quite crowded... I only say this, because the parade is phenomenal, and you want to get a good spot...

We went to the first night of MNSHHP last year and it was free dining then also. The crowds weren't bad and there were hardly any waits for the rides.

Wow! That's great news. I sure hope it stays about the same. It is nice to have people, but we would like to do as much stuff as possible without too much wait.

Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the infomation. I enjoy reading all the responses.

They also only sell a certain amount of tickets for the party (the same amount every party), so it can't be that crowded!
