MNSSHP Tickets Returnable??

My bf and I are hoping to go to MNSSHP in late October but he won't know if he can get off work until late July.

The night we want to go is one of the nights closer to Halloween that is more expensive and will probably sell out. Should I go ahead and buy the tickets now and then try to return them if we can't go?

I know all Disney tickets are technically nonrefundable, but will Disney sometimes make an exception for special even tickets? I guess I could always sell them on eBay if I can't return them. I just don't want the party to sell out and not be able to go at all. What would you do?

I don't think they will let you return them for any reason. For a valid excuse, they could let you change the night (we had to do this last year because our dd's eye surgery was rescheduled). I guess you could sell them on ebay but I don't know if it's exactly legal?

We got plastic tickets with our names on them. I doubt you'd want a potential troll, assuming one bought em, to be able to associate your name with your e-bay ID.

They are non-refundable in general but Disney has worked with people that had unforseen circumstances in the past.

Ours were non-refundable last year, even when we couldn't attend due to a hurricane. However, I wrote Disney and they were kind enough to give us two 1 day tickets to any park in return.
