MNSSHP ticket buying question

If I want to wait until the last minute to buy tickets for MNSSHP but still want to get the buy in advance discount for AP holders, can I buy the day before once I'm at Disney? Will it go into MDE and therefore my active magic band(s)? We want to wait to make sure 1) the weather is good and 2) it's not sold out (don't want to deal with that many people).

Be warned that the party still might sell out. They will push tickets the day of to guests already in the park and it seems more and more are turning into sell-outs. Personally, I didn't find the last two sold-out parties to be too unmanageable, especially if you stay later and catch the second parade.
