MNSSHP Sept 30 & Fantasmic Sept 28, 2008 Meets!

Is anyone else planning to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on September 30th this year? We had a lovely DIS Meet at last year's party and I would really like to repeat the experience.

Some of us will also be meeting up to enjoy Fantasmic together on September 28th, we have Fantasmic Dining Packages scheduled. Please jump in if you'd like to meet up with us!

Remember me? Or Jenny? Anyways, we are going to the party on Sept 23 and the party on Sept 30th. We want to end our trip at the Magic Kingdom (we are leaving Oct 1st). I plan to order the tickets next weekend. So count us in, we will be there. It will nice to see you again.

Yes, of course I remember you and Jenny. So shall we meet up on the Terrace for Hallowishes? It was so nice to meet up with a bunch of DISers last year, I'm looking forward to seeing you again!

Yes we will meet at the same place. I think you are going to be at Pop Century for the meet on the 24th? We will be there too. I can't wait to leave again, it has been a busy year with work and I just need the break. Jenny has finished her high school and now working full time. She is growing up so fast. Are you dressing up this year?

Unfortunately we don't arrive until the 27th so we're going to miss the pool party on the 24th. It sounds like it's going to be a blast.

I know what you mean about needing a break, our trip can't get here soon enough!

I don't know if I'm going to dress up, the weather was so hot last year I was glad I just had the ears and tail. Maybe I'll look for something like that again. Maybe horns and a tail!

Will Jenny be starting college in January? Robert is starting High School this year and my older son has decided to go to community college this semester, so I am thrilled!

Since Jenny is working fulltime she probably will wait till next September to start college. I really would rather wait till she is 17 a little more mature. Plus working for a year will not hurt her. Jenny really enjoys her job. She is cashier for one of our busiest show stores and she loves shoes. Fits her good. So far she seems responsible with her money, she is saving spending money for the trip. It will be cheaper on me this year for her to have her own money.

Not sure about dressing up. Was thinking about Mousekateers, white shirts with names, red shorts and a mickey hat. Another thought was Glenn being a devil, me being an egg and Jenny as an deviled egg, but not too sure how to do that yet. We will at least have halloween shirts on.

We are looking forward to this trip. Work has been really super busy and I just need a break. I have worked about 50 to 60 hours most weeks this whole year. And then just last month they doubled my work.

So are you all getting the free dining? We are but i think we will eat lots of counter services and only a few table services.

Does Jenny get a good discount on shoes? That could be a good job for me. Probably not a bad idea for her to wait until she's a little older to start college. It's a lot of peer pressure at a time when kids tend to be vulnerable with being away from home for the first time. Even for someone as mature as Jenny is.

We booked the Bounceback for Free Dining when we were there last year so we'll be eating a lot of TS. Since our son is a very picky eater he's more likely to find something he likes at CS leaving extra TS for us.

We've got ADRs at Raglan Road, Brown Derby, Kona, Tony's Town Square, Whispering Canyon, Yak and Yeti, Rose and Crown, Le Cellier, Teppan Edo and Chef de France. And we plan to use a bunch of snack credits at the Food and Wine Festival. Really looking forward to it!

What are you planning on the night of the party? Would love to meet up for dinner some where. We have reservation for Raglan Road, Fulton Crab House, LaCellier, Kona, Ohana, Tusker House, Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Package) and Tony's. Not to sure how many we will end up at.

We've got dinner at Tony's the night of the party, I think around 5:30 or so. Wouldn't have probably been my first choice but DH didn't want to do a character meal.

I forgot to say in my last message how cute I thought the deviled egg idea was, very clever!

What night is your Fantasmic package? Ours is on Sunday September 28th at Hollywood Brown Derby.

We have Tony's adr the night of the party too, but at 4:50. We are also doing the Fantasmic Package the 28th but at Hollywood and Vine. I don't think I like the menu at Brown Derby. Maybe we can meet up at Fantasmic?

I would love to meet up for Fantasmic with you and your family! In fact I'm going to attempt to change the title of this thread to include Fantasmic on September 28th in case anyone else would like to join us!

Hey Jenny! How's it going? I think we're going to meet up on the Terrace at about 8:30 or so. I wish there were more DISers going to MNSSHP on the 30th. There was much more interest in your party last year. We'll have fun anyway.

I think everyone is worried about the hurricanes. I just hope we have a hurricane free trip. We can't wait and it is getting closer.
