Hi there DIS land, this is my first pre-trip report, so I guess I should fill you in on who I am. My first trip to WDW was in 1972, Disney was not even a year old when we went and I was not yet 2 (Yikes I just let you know how old I am ). I went 2 more times as a child and then my life was a desolate wasteland of no WDW (a little dramatic huh) until 1996.

That trip was with my mom, sister and 8 year old niece and we stayed at a All Stars Music our first time staying on property. I decided right then and there I’d never stay off property again. Fast forward through another 13 years  and in 2009 I took my own son for the first time. Again my mom was along for the ride and my DS was 2 ½. We stayed at All Star Movies this time. I decided after my 2009 trip that it was never going to be that long again between visits I have always loved Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney. I truly believe that this is the happiest place on earth.

Our last trip was December 2010 I decided I wanted to see WDW decorated for the holiday so this time it was just my son and I, now a big 4 year old. I’m lucky enough to get the 2 weeks off from work at Christmas time so we combined a Birthday trip (DS’s Birthday is Dec 1st) and Christmas trip and went December 18-22 for a quick trip. This time we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter (we even got a reno’d room wooo hooo) and I was in love with this resort. So small, peaceful and quiet! During that trip I decided that since I had seen Christmas decorations now I needed to see Halloween ones.

So that long winded introduction brings us to this trip. We will be going September 27th-October 2nd with a MNSSHP thrown in for good measure. I’ll introduce everyone in the next post as this is getting a bit long. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my trip planning. I look forward to sharing with you and hearing your thoughts ideas and suggestions.

So in this post I promised introductions, the cast of characters if you will. This trip will be our second without my mom. She loves vacationing with us and WDW but she thinks I’m nuts for spending the money so often. But you all know it just can’t be helped. Lol
So it will be me: Tina, I’m 40 (ack)
Here I am having a chat with Roy and Minnie in 2009.

Finally that brings us to DS. I call him a million little things but mostly Puddin’ (I’d imagine my days of calling him that are numbered, I can’t imagine a 16 year old letting his mommy call him that **sigh**) but it works for the purposes of this pre-trip report. He turned 4 in December and still enough of a baby to want to be on or near me most of the time.

Here is my favorite picture of him from December, it was freezing (okay 50, which was better than the 20 we had came from) but he had to have his Mickey Bar.

He will be so excited to be going back to see his girlfriend; look their leaving on their first date.

He truly believes Daisy is his girlfriend; he even calls her all the time. It’s so cute. The first time we went he kept asking to see her (I didn’t even know he liked her that much) then when we did he was all shy and tongue tied. He wasn’t like that with any of the other characters.

So this year he got brave and asked her to be his girlfriend and she played right along he was so excited!

Last time I tried to keep the trip a surprise but I had to tell Puddin’ to get him on the plane. But that is a story for another time. So this time I’ll tell him but not until it gets closer to time, I don’t want driven crazy! LOL

More on the plans so far in the next post. Thanks for reading!

So here are the plans so far. More than likely lots of this will change. For our trip in December I changed dates once, resorts twice and ADR’s more times than I can count. I do have the benefit (?) of not as much time to plan this time, I started over a year before last time.

Arrive on Tuesday, September 27 hopefully sometime late morning early early afternoon. Southwest has a nonstop that doens't leave Indy until 11:23 are arives around 1:00 so that will probably be it.

We will be staying at POFQ again. It was so nice, quiet and relaxing last time. According to Touring Plans there should be a MNSSHP that day (I’m hoping they are right) which I’ll get tickets too. I’m also hoping the Puddin’ can stay up that late. He’s a bit weird about bedtime, he gave himself a self-imposed bedtime of 8:00 when he was 7 months old and has pretty much stuck to it. Sometimes he makes it to 8:30 or 9:00 but much later than that and it’s not pretty.

I’m going to try to get a 4:30 ADR at Cinderella's Royal Table that night. I’d love opinions on eating there with a boy. I didn't think DS would want to eat there but he was so excited about Cinderella's Castle last trip and wanted to go in I told him we'd eat there the next time we went.

I don’t have decisions made on dining for most of the week thought out yet. Parks are kind of set depending on MNSSHP. I would like that to stay on arrival day so that could change our dates.

Thank goodness I have a month till I need to make ADR’s so I still have a little time to figure it out. I'm leaning toward this type of schedule:

9/27/11- MNSSHP & CRT
9/28/11- DHS and Sci Fi Dine-in
9/29/11- AP and Donald's Safari Breadkfast
9/29/11- Evening at Downtown Disney and Dinner at POR Boatrwrights (has anyone ever eaten there? The menu looks like DS would really enjoy it.)
9/30/11-Epcot, dining not decided
10/1/11-Magic Kingdom, dining not decided
10/2/11-Probably an early flight

Well that’s it for now. I’d love to hear from anyone else that will be there the same time. What are your plans?

I'm in. We will be there 9/17 to 9/26 we just booked our flights threw SW. With all the money we are saving on flights we may upgrade to a moderate. We are thinking POFQ or CBR. We have stayed at POFQ alot but my girls will love the pool at CBR.

Our dates were 9/24 to 10/2 but SW had a awesome deal on flights yesterday. So we changed our week and added a night. It was 665.00 round trip for 4 of us. I was expecting to pay around 1200.00 this year.

Yay! yay: My first subscriber! Welcome.

Our dates were 9/24 to 10/2 but SW had a awesome deal on flights yesterday. So we changed our week and added a night. It was 665.00 round trip for 4 of us. I was expecting to pay around 1200.00 this year.

I haven't even started looking at flights seriously yet. I proabably should get on that.

We got 6 more inches of snow last night and I'm ready for winter to be over. I'm starting to wish I had decided to go back to Disney for spring break. Of course that would have defeated the purpose of going for MNSSHP and low crowds. LOL

I've halfway decided to change my resort. I love POFQ but I realized that I could stay at Wilderness Lodge Villas for very little more. I'm conflicted. I'm still waiting for flights for our return trip to open up so I haven't booked anything yet. I'm also a bit worried about flight prices going up along with gas, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

That's it for now I guess nothing else has changed.
