Sorry for asking - I am sure the info is in one of the posts already but with them being so many pages long I don't have the time to read through them to find out the info.

Are the parades and fireworks usually at the same times every year?

Are there shows like in the MVMCP, and how many and what time is the first one, if anyone has any idea?

IF the kids are not in costume, can they still trick or treat? My son is at the age where he doesn't like getting dressed up but would hate to see his little sis make out big time with candy?

Can you usually get into the MK earlier than 7 pm the night of the party?

Do they offer free stroller rentals?

If you buy your tickets at your resort, can you still get the advanced price discount? Was hoping to get down there, check the weather and make a decision on which night to attend.

TIA to anyone who can answer these questions.

We've been three times to MNSSHP ('01, '03, '05). They do have a special parade that is done two times. I don't remember the times off hand but I think they were the same time every time we went.

They do have dance parties in certain areas with the characters. We've saw the dance parties in the area in front of Ariel's Grotto and over by Space Mountain.

Most kids were dressed up, mostly in Disney costumes. DD has been Bear in the Big Blue House, Minnie Mouse and Tink. The older one's that didn't, we saw a lot of them in halloween shirts although we did see quite a few older kids dressed up as well as adults.

They do have free stroller rental. But be careful, we were on Winnie the Pooh and someone took our stroller. It had dd7's trick or treat bag, although it didn't have anything in it yet. We had a great CM in Toontown that asked DD if she had a trick or treat bag and when we told them that someone took it along with our strolller they went and got her a new bag and filled it halfway up with candy. She was too happy.

You can get in early. If you already have tickets for the parks and you go in before they shut down they will let you stay. They usually close off all but one area. Last year it was Liberty Square. The time before that when we were there it was Tomorrowland. As everyone is leaving that don't have tickets for it they will sort of usher the one's coming in to a certain area. We actually had ADR's at LTT for during the time the rest of the park is closed.

I think they only way to get the discount is to order in advance. The only thing about waiting until you get down there is that some dates sell out.

Also, if you go, don't forget to get your free photo. We actually waited until later in the night to get ours and there was no line. They take a photo of your group and send it to you through the mail a few weeks after your there.

If you've never done it, I would definitely go. We absolutely love it. Although next year we are actually planning to go the beginning of Dec. and I want to do MVMCP.

Hope some of that helps. Have a great time if you decide to go.

Are the parades and fireworks usually at the same times every year?

Are there shows like in the MVMCP, and how many and what time is the first one, if anyone has any idea?

See the above post for these answers.

IF the kids are not in costume, can they still trick or treat? My son is at the age where he doesn't like getting dressed up but would hate to see his little sis make out big time with candy?

Yes...they give out Trick or Treat sacks to everyone, even adults! We came home with 15 POUNDS of candy between 3 of us!

Can you usually get into the MK earlier than 7 pm the night of the party?

Yes you have been in past years ,we won't really know until that first MNSSHP this year on how Disney is handling it, but I d say most likely you can get in about 4pm with a MNSSHP only ticket.

Do they offer free stroller rentals?

I don't know this one. When Erich was small I always took my own stroller.

If you buy your tickets at your resort, can you still get the advanced price discount? Was hoping to get down there, check the weather and make a decision on which night to attend.

Advance purchase means any time before actually being at the Ticket and Transportation Center on the night of the party you've chosen to attend. You can purchase tickets at your resort.

So how does the ticket purchase work for Halloween since it is not Advanced reservations. Does this mean there is like a huge mass of pushy people at the gates trying to get tickets :sad2: ?? Do you have to get there like 6hrs early to stand in line? Only reason I want to go on Halloween is so I can do the Haunted Manison at night, not sure what time sunset is at that time. Else I would do the MNSSHP earlier in my trip.

What have some of you seasoned MNSSHP vets done in the past.

You can buy Halloween night now, you just can't get the Advance Purchase price, meaning there's no discount on Halloween night.

Thank you so much for the info.

Are Friday nights usually much more crowded than weeknights? Trying to decide whether to go on the 5th or 6th. For those who have attended on Friday, how busy was it?

Ooops My daughter just moved to Florida and is buying tickets for MNSSHP
I told her I thought you had to also buy park tickets but after reading this, it looks like you dont have to do that. Is that correct? Can her and her son go to MNSSHP without having to purchase park tickets?

That's right. It's held after the park closes so only the party ticket is needed.

I see that the Riverboat is coming off of rehab in early September now. Can we hope that it will be used as it was in years past? I am looking forward to the story telling, if it is! Maggie
