Hey everyone!

So, orginally, I thought we would not be able to attend MNSSHP (bec of dates), and after speaking to a CM, we could attend it on the 11/1.
So, we currently have reservations at the Brown Derby at 6:30. I see that MNSSHP starts at 7:00 and that in addition to your tickets, you need the bracelet.
-do you need a park pass in addition to the ticket??
-I am assuming you can go in later than 7, right?
-and you can get the bracelet with your ticket, when you arrive, you do not have to go beforehand?
-how long is it?
-what are your thoughts on it and is it really a must do? (quick background; we will be going for our honeymoon and FH has NEVER been to disney before, and we do have a day for MK planned)

thanks everyone!!!

No, you do not need a park pass - just your MNSSHP party ticket.

And while the party officially starts at 7pm (until midnight) - past years CMs let people in starting at 4pm. But you can get in later as well yes.

Along with the bracelet you get a small halloween bag to collect the treats in.

The "Boo to You" Parade is a must-see that evening for sure! And there's many photo opportunity with different characters than norm. Including some special magic shots with ghosts, etc.

Enjoy and have fun!

I would shift your dinner up a bit earlier so you are already in the party by 7 pm. If you want a pic with the dwarves for example you want to line up by 6:30 (people may start lining up as early as 6).They start letting party people in at 4 usually and give you the bracelet and trick-or-treat bag when you enter after 4. The party is "hard ticket" so it doesnt matter where you are during the day you dont need another day pass just the ticket to the party. It runs from 7 to 12 pm and worth every penny. Dh and I (just us) went three times last year and are aiming for 3 more this fall. It is the best thing Disney does!

I would move your BD reservations or cancel it all together, you are paying a premuim price for the party and the things it offers (special shows, charecters, parades, fireworks). You don't have to be there the whole time to enjoy the party but you are basically paying for it anyway so I would cancel BD which can be done 365 days a year and go to MNSSHP which only happens a dozen or so nights in the fall. With a 6:30 BD ADR and getting seated on time, timely service and quick transportation back to MK best case scenario you will be there by 8pm which is when people will be lining up for the first parade. Last year the 1st parade started at 8:15 so it could even be starting by the time you get back to MK.

No, you don't have to use a day's park admission to get into the party. In fact you can get into the MK at 4pm with your party ticket. All non-party guests leave at 7.

Yes, no problems with that but you'd really want to be there for the entire party with all that's going on.

No, you get the bracelet when you give them your party ticket at the turnstiles.
-how long is it?
Party ends at midnight. Stores close right at midnight - they don't stay open like they would for an extra hour after regular park closing.

Personally, I highly recommend the party. It's worth cancelling the Brown Derby reservation for. Maybe see if there's something available at one of the monorail resort hotel restaurants for 5ish. There's so much party stuff going on that you can skip riding any rides and still not see eveything there is to see. On top of that, you really can't see all of the MK in a day so this give you another half day to see what you missed on your other day.

MNSSHP is my favorite party! For me, the photo ops with the rare characters (like Snow White and all 7 dwarfs, various villains) and the Boo to You parade are my must-dos.
The first year I went, I went twice in the same week and I loved both times. I'll be there on Oct 1-8 and the party is running three evenings. I may go to all three!

I agree with the previous poster. You are paying a premium for those party hours, I would not spend them in a restaurant, especially since it's not in MK. I would even say do your TS at breakfast or lunch and then a CS at the party.
