For MNSSHP do they have the rides open in MK? Or is only the halloween things going on? It sounds fun-would like to do this! Does it usually run throughout the month? Or just near halloween?

Most of the rides are open. The dates are posted for this year and run throughout the month of October.

MOst of the rides are open.

Get a seat near Liberty Tree for best view of the Headless Horseman before the parade starts. Also, the Haunted Mansion is right there and the atmosphere is GREAT!

Also, you can arrive at the park an hour or so early and they'll let you in!

This year MNSSHP will be held on Oct. 3, 5, 10, 14, 16, 19, 24, 26, 30, 31 from 7:00 PM to midnight.

I highly recommend going. It was the hilight of our WDW trip last year.
