We have some flight credits and some park hoppers to use up and are planning a quick, long-weekend trip. My son will be 2 in July. We would like to do either Halloween (late October) or Christmas (early December). Which would you recommend and why? Thanks so much!

I'm voting for MVMCP - everything is brite, colorful and happy. The parade is cheerful and has wooden solders. The decorations are beautiful. Its just a very happy, pretty cheerful time of year and the lites are really neat. I'm sure your two year old would love the osborne lights at MGM also. They twinkle and "dance" to music

MNSSHP may not be scarey for an 8 or 11 year old but I think a two year old would be frieghten by the parade (its all about villians) and customes. Its a really neat parade with the headless horsemen leading the way (but that BIG Black Horse with a dark headless rider is scarey). At two years old they still dont know whats real and whats not.

At Two, id go for cheerful & happy:santa: unfortunately they learn about dark & scarey soon enuf

I would also choose MVMCP! It is just so festive and cheerful, and really puts you in the holiday spirit! We went to our first MNSSHP last year, and while it was fun, I just didn't get that "warm, fuzzy feeling" from it!

oh, that's always a tough question for me! :scratchin

I love them both so much.

We started with MVMCP back in 2000 and did it two years in a row. Then we switch to alternating and did MNSSHP in 2002, then MVMCP in 2003 and so on.

But if I HAD to pick I think it would MVMCP because I love Christmas and its so magical.

Good luck deciding and have fun planning!

MNSSHP seriously BLOWS MVMCP away.

I was not impressed at all with the Christmas party, but I loved the Halloween party, and I'm much more of a christmas girl!

How much are the tickets to MVMCP? We will be going to WDW this Dec and I would like to try this.

I vote for MVMCP, there is nothing like seeing it snow down Main Street. We went last year and had such a great time, we are going again this year.

Loved them both, but there's nothing like Disneyworld at Christmas time, IMHO.

LOVE how MK is decorated and love the snow on Main Street. And the soldiers during the MVMCP parade are my FAVORITE of all Disney parade things. :)
