We enjoy going to Dinsey in late Sept./early Oct. Love the low crowds and hot weather...We have never gone to MNSSHP. Are my kids missing out? I think this next trip we will be getting the hoppers for the first time. (We always get the 5 day MYW base tickets). If you had to pick between MNSSHP or hoppers which would you pick? We won't do both..but we want to try one or the other.

MNSSHP. Hopping is overrated.

MNNSHP for sure. You could "hop" the day you go to the party if you wanted. Go to another park in the am, and then hop to MK for the party in the evening. Traditionally they let you into the park for the party at 4:00p.

I used to always buy hoppers... never used them... or we would hop only because we felt like we "had" to.

Some people like to tour this way, but we don't. We also don't take midday breaks... so... you have to do what you think is best for your family.

Since we don't leave the park during the day, hopping seems like a waste of park time to us.

Our plan is to buy tickets to MNSSHP and not hoppers. We have always bought hoppers in the past but since we have planned our ADR's around our park days I don't really anticipate us doing any hopping. I figure if we REALLY want to hop we can add hoppers on when we get there. :)

Are your kids missing out? I have to say, YOU ADULTS are missing out, too! MNSSHP is a blast for everyone in the family. It's fun that's so well-done, you will remember the party for a long time. The best indicator of the fun was when I asked my adult children if they wanted to go to MNSSHP again this year (for our family WDW visit). The answer was a resounding "YES!"

When party info and brochure come out, read it and have a plan for your evening. There are rare characters to see, two parade times, the candy trails, special fireworks show, and much more. You are allowed into MK at 4pm without a regular ticket, so take advantage of that 3-hour pre-party window to eat a CS meal, ride some rides, etc. Then when it gets dark, the transformation of MK thru shadows and light and color, is really amazing.

Still struggling with this. Never had hoppers before. This is our second trip (last one was 5 years ago). In sept with reduced hours because of parties I've been wondering about hoppers. It's me, DH, DD11, and DS9.

But I also want to go to MNSSHP. The only party while can make is on Fri, Sept 26th. Is that likely to be packed? We want to see characters, parade, hallowishes, and do attractions, but won't stand in line for M&G. Any thoughts on if I should buy hoppers or party tickets? Or sell a kidney and get both?

With a bit of planning, hoppers are definitely not necessary. I'd go for the party in a heartbeat!

I was contemplating hoppers for this trip, as we've never used them before. Then the Villains party was announced. No brainer for me!!!! I'd much rather go to a special event and just plan one park a day.

We love having hoppers but if I had to choose, I'd say the Halloween Party. We're going for the party the first time this trip, so no opinions on it yet other than it looks like fun! One of my kids really, really needs her sleep so it took 8 years before she would likely be able to stay up enough for it to be worth it.

MNSSHP was our favorite part of the trip last year. If you haven't hopped before, you won't miss it. The party though, it's so well done. The parade and fireworks are not to be missed!

Can't you cut a park day out for MNSSHP and still keep hopers for other days? Not sure of price difference to cut a day off your tickets .

OP, we will also be there at the same time. We originally bought hoppers through our TA, but maybe we should do the party instead? Does what you save on the hoppers cover the cost of the party?

Thanks!

Mnsshp. !!!!

You can make this a hoppin day if you choose to use a reg. Park ticket. EP in the am and then MK in the evening. For example.

We are non hoppers. The only time i felt missed out was wanting to eat at EP while at a different park. With a hopper you can do this. ( takes extra time too). But we plan our adrs.

Almost the same price for hoppers or the party. Within a couple dollars of each other.

No, hopping is one price for the whole length of stay, not a price per day. It's the same price to add hooper whether you're there for 4 days or 14.
