MNSSHP on Columbus Day night?

We are going October 11-17 which is Columbus Day week. We plan on doing the party. In previous years MNSSHP has been scheduled on Columbus Day and Thursday and Friday of that week. Has anyone gone to the party on Columbus Day night? If so was it crowded? Or do you think the Thursday night party would be a better bet? Thanks.
