So whose going to MNSSHP. My first trip 9/27-10/1 BCV. Not sure what to expect. Will the kids feel out of place if they aren't in costume?

No worries - the kids will not feel out of place; many kids and adults don't wear costumes. In past years, the Emporium has had the Halloween Party t-shirts on sale during the party - you could purchase those if the kids like them! ;)

Which party of are you attending, 9/28 or 9/30? We'll be there 9/30 -- no kids; no husbands either - just the big girls! :cutie:

Have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

At least go to Wal-Mart and get them inexpensive costumes before you go! There are a lot of dressed up families at these events and we've changed our minds on "you won't feel out of place" to "it is more fun to be in costume". We regretted not having costumes last time!

Mind you, this year we really went to town on our costumes. I spent the GDP of a small country on them!

We will be there Oct 13. It is a tradition for us to go the the Halloween party and Food and Wine each year. My son does wear a costume but we just wear our party t shirts from the year before. I don't think anyone would feel out of place if they don't dress up.

We will be at WDW from 9/28 to 10/3! Our kids have no idea that we are leaving a week from tomorrow which makes it fun for us (the big kids!). We have tix for the MNSSHP on 9/30 and I want to figure out something to pack for the kids so that they'll feel sort of like they're in costume (since we haven't even thought about what they're wearing on 10/31). I might just bring some costume face makeup and make them up to look "scary".

Eight More Days!!!!!!!

We Have A Family Of 24 Who Will Be Dressed Up We Go Crazy For This Stuff

I purchased some Nightmare Before Christmas t-shirts at the Disney Store for $4.99 each that we are going to all wear to the party October 19th. I am planning on buying the party t-shirts when we are there to have for the future. :cool2:

They have free face painting at MNSSHP! Pretty elaborate designs too. Your kids might enjoy getting it done there and you won't have to worry about bringing it!:goodvibes

(I saw at least 2 locations that had face painting going on....Toon Town and Adventureland)

Wow, I didn't know that, thanks! I'll definitely seek that out early in the evening. Last August we went to the Summer on the Savanna party that DVC had and my older two got their faces painted for free. The artists were fabulous!

We didn't find out until the end of the evening, but all the kids (and even adults) who had it done looked great!:goodvibes
