DW and I are taking the kids to WDW in late October for our 7th WDW vacation, and our first-ever MNSSHP :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: . I hear such great things about the party. What must I know about it?

Don't forget to take the trail that goes behind Tomorrowland. It's called Alice and Mad Hatter's Tea Pary on the map you will receive. :thumbsup2

Don't forget to get your complimentary picture taken.

I hope you'll love it as much as we do. :goodvibes

Take a nap or at least a break that day as 12:00 is a long day at Disney but that last 2 hours are the best.

We loved it so much I'm trying to get a small trip in just for it .Leaving in 3 days and have MVMCP booked for DEC.

I just can't see how it's going to top MNSSHP for us but I will give it a try.

Also take a backpack to put your candy bags in while on the rides it make it much easier for us.Plus at the end of the night if they didn't see a full bag they filled it on the trail from Toontown and TL.

Thanks for all the good advice everyone  Is it wrong that I find myself wishing the summer would hurry on by? :goodvibes

It's good to know there are two parades. That first one WILL be golden riding time. We will plan to take it easy that day (probably 1/2 day at AK or something) so we can rest up for MNSSHP

ETA: We are going the last week of October. Any chance of the 10/26 party selling out before the day of the event? The way my job works, sometimes things come up and I have to reschedule plans on-the-fly. This has never been a problem before, but I would like to wait as long as possible before buying tix for a hard-ticket event.

We went the night that we had flown in. The boys were very excited and didnt crash till 1am.

We had reservations at LTT and were able to get our wrist bands after dinner.

get in line early for your complimentary picture - the line we were in moved relatively fast.

take time to sit and people watch. Some costumes are funny :rotfl: and others are very imaginative.

We skipped the parades (I am the only parade person) and rode rode rode.
We got to ride Buzz 4 times in a row with no problems.

It is still hot so keep costumes on the light side but my youngest did get cold but we had a sweatshirt for him to wear.

Most of all have lots of FUN.

Our first MNSSHP was last year and we thoroughly enjoyed it so much we have our tickets for the party again this October. Be sure not to miss Hallowishes :thumbsup2 and as Honeybehr1 said if you're not a parade person, a great time to ride your favorite rides is while the parades are on. :cool1:

I think we will be sure to catch the parade. Everyone in our family is a "parade nerd". By now we are kinda burned out on SADCT, but the thought of a new (to us) parade in MK is absolute catnip.

We went to our first MNNSHP last year..... We loved it... and we were actually not even going to go to it and at the last minute before our trip I purchased the tickets... Glad we did... People watch, watch the parade (it was great) and watch the fireworks..(try and get close to the castle for them) they shine all kinds of goodies on the castle and when the fireworks go off they are completely around you! Incredible... We loved it!!!!! And the headless horseman (though a fast moving horse) was good too...

:maleficen Have fun!

:hmghost: And the rides are all pretty empty... we rode many rides with no wait at all! :hmghost:

We went mid-October last year and are going again this year! Some really great, imaginative costumes on kids (and adults). It's a blast -- interaction with lots of villians characters, (Cruella told my wife that her purse was ugly), not too crowded, no waits for rides, great parade, etc., etc.

You'll LOVE it! My family has for years!

I've done it twice and absolutely love it. Even did it on Halloween night last year!

The walk way from Toon Town to TomorrowLand, ya know the walk way that you only take when the park is crowded and you want to get there fast, anyway, make sure you walk that path. I saw characters from Alice and Wonderland, that I had not seen on the park before! I met the Walrus, I met the 3 of diamonds, the 5 of spades, and the Queen herself! If you want to walk through fast, just walk past the characters and hit the candy stops. Real quick. You want to walk through slow, visit the characters also.

Have a great time!!!!!
