I'm taking my DW and two 5yr-olds to WDW for the first time and a friend said I need to go to this Halloween Party at MK.

We will be going for 5 days in early OCT and I don't want to put too much on the kids

Is this something we really should do?
Is it worth the extra $$$?

Any Advice??

I also say do it. It's a great atmosphere and relaxing time to do the rides with not as many people in the parks.

You and your kids will have a blast. They can dress up if they want and also go trick or treating in MK! How cool is that! The best part is there aren't as many people in the park than normal so you can ride the rides more with minimal lines.

We went for the first time last year and loved it. Hopefully there will be a party on one day while we're there again this year. If there is, then we'll be there.

It is a very cool experience with great fireworks, a special parade and lots of goodies.

Plan that day to be light park wise and include lots of down time in the afternoon for naps etc (even for the adults). That will leave you refreshed for the nighttime party.

Absolutely ! Our family (2 adults, 3 kids --ages 9,6,4) did MNSSHP last October and had a blast. It is a little costly when you figure all the money you already spent, but it's a night I think you'll really enjoy. You'll find almost every child is dressed in their favorite costume, and adults are dressed up as well. The whole MK is themed for Halloween with music and decorations. Candy is given out at various spots, of course. Also you get a free family photo taken to remember your experience. Best part is going on all the rides and attractions with low ait times. Tip -- Try and do MNSSHP during the week, as during the weekend it gets very crowded. Enjoy !

I agree with the others -- do it. We will be doing it again this year. I have some photos of MNSSHP in an on-line photo album (they're not the greatest but they should give you an idea of what the party is like) -- click here.

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS bamillen!!!!:earsboy:

I agree that you should attend MNSSHP! Since you'll be there in early Oct . the crowd won't be bad at all for the party.

A limited amount of tickets are sold for the Halloween parties,so it makes getting on rides a whole lot quicker.

You ands your kids will LOVE it!!!

Definitely do it! We took our kids when they were 3 and 1. Even though they were little, they had so much fun! As others have mentioned, you can ride the rides without long waits. You also get a complimentary family photo.

The park is decorated for Halloween and the parade is incredible.

We made sure the kids had long naps that afternoon and they were fine all night. We left shortly after the parade, but they could have stayed longer. If we make another October trip, we will definitely do this event again.

Have a great trip!
