MNSSHP for just adults?

We are doing our first Disney trip without the kids. We will be there during the MNSSHP. We have never gone before. Is it worthwhile for just adults and does everyone have to dress in costume? We thought it might be a fun evening, even if the kids aren't with us. Is it advisable to get tickets in advance? There is really only one day that we would be able to go - Oct 5. If it rains do they cancel? Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I am traveling with 4 adults and we are all going. We went last year and had a blast. You don't have to dress in costumes if you don't want to. Buying your tickets in advance might be a good idea but it isn't mandatory. You do, however, run the risk of your day selling out. As for a fun evening, you bet! If you like halloween then you will love this, rare characters are everywhere. If you don't care much for halloween the fireworks and parade are worth the price of admission. As for the rain question...I don't know. That is a good one.

You don't have to wear a costume (only some people do) to be in the spirit! I love the special feel of the evening, the candy, the parade, and getting on lots of rides with little-to-no wait!

Go! Dress up a bit for the fun of it! Eat candy and let the inner child in you go wild!

Defidently! My DH and I do it everytime we are there when it is going on! I love the no-wait for the rides and the trick or treating. I would order your tickets ahead of time. Have Fun!!!

I'm 45 and my DD is 24. we go every year in full costume and have our picture made and trick or treat too. we already have our tickets for Oct. 24th. we also go to Universals Halloween horror nights on halloween night. its our annual Mom/daughter trip we do every year (since 1999) and we stay for 11 days.

You will have a great time! Plenty of adults with no kids go to this. If I am in WDW during a special event and I can get a ticket I go. It is like a extra bonus!
We usually try and wear a halloween t-shirt, you can get them at Walmart or Target for about $5 or as soon as we get to the party we buy this years MNSSHP t-shirt and put it on.

Who's an adult at Disney World anyway? My wifey and me are going, with no kids since we don't have any. I'm sure we'll have fun, and you will too.

I'm going with a large group of "just adults". We do it every year.
Last year it poured, thundered and lightening, no cancellation of the party. The fireworks and parade were canceled.
I may wait to buy my ticket this year because of the rain factor. The weekends sell out faster than the weekdays.

DH and I will be attending MNSSHP this year on 9/15....we can't wait!! I just got the last bit of my costume today...so I'm all set to go!

New DH & I will be going during our Disneymoon (9/15) without any children... It will be our first MNSSHP and we're (at least I am ) very excited about going... I think he will be more excited once we get there!!! He wasn't sure about going to WDW his first time last year... and now he talks about how great it was!!!

I am so glad someone asked this...my son and I will be going alone next October for the Food and Wine Festival and you all have convinced me we should do this...DH and I were there last year at the time the party was running but we skipped it, thinking it was just for kids.

Give them a call and see. They gave me a reservation number in case my tickets never came, which they did anyway. I think it was about a week.

Yay! Glad you're going! You can just order the tickets online and pick them up at will-call if you want. We had them shipped and it took about 4 days and it cost $3.50 or $3.00. Your best bet may just be to pick them up, so you make sure you get them and you don't have to pay any thing if you get them at will-call.

We are 2 Adults only ( kids are staying at home with grammie)...Last time we went to MNSSHP was on our Honeymoon 9 yrs ago and we had a BLAST...Cant wait to go back and wouldnt think twice !
