MNSSHP Dining ?

Well, I shot myself in the foot by not making my ressies early enough and when I called to get Chef Mickeys before our 10/6 Halloween Party, I found out all the restaurants in the MK and the character buffets were booked up..

Anyone have any ideas on where to dine before the Party? We will be staying at Boardwalk. I would really like to eat before we pass through the gates at MK. I don't want to take up our valuable time eating during the parades, shows, trick or treating, etc.

Any ideas? Thought maybe Whispering Canyon?

You know I think I would call Disney Dining and ask them - you might make all these plans, and call and find out no availablity... last resort a CS at boardwalk would be great too!!

My plan is to grab something at the counter service restaurant before the party. Arriving around 5pm, eating then in the park and waiting for the festivites to begin. I don't want to waste any time at the party.

Don't give up...people make one or two reservations and then they cancel as the time gets closer. Keep calling. I just got a 5:15 at the crystal palace because someone had just cancelled. If I can get a reservation at the liberty tree tavern I will be cancelling at the cp. I would rather go to LTT because it just seems more like halloween! Good luck!

We are going to MNSSHP on Oct 2nd. We are using our TS meal credits for Breakfast at CM that day. I figured that that way we could try to get DS 4 (turning 5 while at WDW) to rest a little before the party. We were planing on eating CS at our resort POR or maybe at Captain Cook's in the Poly. I figured if we are at the resort I would not have to worry about DS getting his costume dirty while eating. He is not the neatest eater. Hope your family has a great time!

Thanks for all the great ideas! I think I have decided I will first try to keep calling back to see if there are any openings at Chef Mickeys and if no dice then we'll just get counter service somewhere. Knowing my kids they would be just as happy with McDonalds...

How many people are you?? Are you interested in a reservation right before MNSSHP on 10/6 at like 5:30/5:45 at LTT? I have a reservation currently there for 10/6 at like 5:30 or 5:45. I could call and ask the exact time. I think we were a party of 6 people, with two seperate tables (maybe a 4 and a 2 table).

Let me know if you are interested and we can coordinate cancellation!! I decided to go to Wispering Canyon and we have a 5PM ressie there. I just don't like turkey (to be honest I hate thanksgiving food), so I cant bring myself to waste a meal there. But other people have had great reviews of LTT.

I waited too long also - we are also doing MNSSHP on the 6th - can't get into CP because the last ressie is before they will admit us - (3:45 PM). Three years ago - we walked into LTT for a late dinner during the parade - which worked well since my DS was a little overwhelmed and spooked at that point. Great news was that the characters had NO one else there - and I actually thought Minnie and Mickey were going to start diving into our pot roast!! I had my DSS(26) and his DGF with us and I think the characters were more interested in making time with them than in my littler ones!!LOL
In any case - we are offsite in a villa this trip, so I think we will grab a bite offsite - or else try try try to stop by CM to see if there's anything available. With a small party, I have had great sucess in the past with NO ADR's.
And maybe we will see you there!!!!

Try Ohana or Kona Cafe at the POLY. Or you could try the Concourse steak house. Getting on the monorail will be very quick and easy when you are done eating and want to get into the party. The WL, not being on the monorail, will take longer.

We may have too many to make a difference. There are 6 adults and 3 kids in our party. My kids really wanted Chef Mickeys but that is pretty much out now anyway...unless I get lucky. I have actually been to LTT before and liked it .

I just checked it is for 6 people at 5:45PM on thursday October 6th. I have so many ressies I got confused. The lady said that I could make it for 5 people though (just keep in mind it is booked on two different tables, they said they would try to get us together.)

If you are still interested Disneyfan3 let me know. I am not sure how this works though, Do I cancel this ressie and try to let DisneyFan3 pick it up or do I give you my adr #?)

Let me know DisneyFan3 if you are interested, I would love to help another diser out since I have been helped out by so many. I made this ressie when I bought my MNSHHP tickets way back when, I know this is a hard ressie to get.

I called disney reservations and she said the only way we could do this is if you call back and just modify your reservation to my name and my children names and then you could let me know what the reservation number is. She said there is really no way you can cancel it for me to get it because it could be picked up in seconds by someone else. My email address is: rjsobr@aol.com

We are just eating at Shutters at our resort and then heading over to the party. Of course we are just two adults who don't care so much for the character meals. Just what we are doing......
